About me and my therapy practice
I am a CBT therapist, and offer a safe place to talk, in the privilage of your own home, or walking and talking, if you cannot find a safe space within your home. It is important that you can have a confidential space to talk freely.
I work with Domestic Violence, anxiety, stress, bearevement/grief, and many others, CBT (Cognative Behavioural Therapy) give you a space to look at your behaviour and how they can hold you back in your life, for instance, not feeling good enough, nobody likes me, everybody is talking about me, etc, we can work together to resolve this, and make you a stronger person, and allow you to make your own decisions in life, and believe that you are good enough, and be able to take control of you.
Happiness is a choice.
Practice description
CBT is made up approximately 16 sessions, the first couple are what we call the "assessment process", where we will get to know each other, and decide if we can work together, its your choice.
In these sessions, we will explore your past, your issues, then come up with a colaborative plan and how to work together to gain the goals that we have set. This may be inform of homework, which doesnt take more than 15 minutes once a week, this will help you to become your "own therapist" once the sessions are completed.
you will be offered some follow up sessions, if needed, as it is on a one to basis, everyone journey is uniques, give me a call or message if you need further information.
My first session
as mentioned above the first session is an "assessment" we find out why you are looking for therapy and what your goals are.
I offer a free 15 minute session, to find out a little bit about you, and assess our situation from there.
Following that, the other session are 50 minutes to 1 hour, they can be weekly or fornightly depending on your circumstances.

About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for visiting my page and taking the first steps in looking after your mental health, this in itself can be a very daunting experience.
My therapy style is Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
In Person Centred we talk about what you want to bring into the room, you're the expert in yourself, and I only know what you tell me, by working together, we can come to a conclusion, that is decided by you, for you, it is important that you make your own choices, and therefore I do not advise you, but using my extensive listening skills we will get you there, so that you can feel better and more confident about your future choices in life.
In CBT, is about changing your behaviours and your thought process, how to deal with difficult situations, learn about you and how you change to become a more confident person and ensure that you are making the choices that are acceptable to you, as we cannot change others.
I believe that by working in warm and compassionate style, non-judgemental, and treat everyone with respect and not label people, we achieve better outcomes.
I have a diplomas in CBT, Therapeutic Counselling, Mindfulness, Domestic Violence and Life Coaching Skills and and have over 15 years’ experience of working in a therapy service.
Practice description
by offering on line sessions, opens up a whole new way of working together, no travelling involved, you only have to ensure that you have a safe place to have your sessions, to ensure privacy, which is essential during sessions. I can also offer face to face sessions
Please note that I offer online face to face, video session, telephone, chat/ text sessions.
Session are completely condifential.
My first session
Our first session, this will be an assessment appointment, we well get to know each other a little, to see if we are suitable to work together. I ask clients to attend at least 4 session, to give us the opportunity to build a theruaputic relationship, then we will discuss progress every 6 weeks.
You can stop at any time you wish. This is your journey.
