About me and my therapy practice
Welcome. I'm glad you're here.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don't have to face it alone. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, stress, and significant life changes.
I have a particular passion for supporting women in midlife. If you're juggling the demands of work, raising children, caring for ageing parents or loved ones, while also navigating the emotional and physical changes that can come with this stage of life, you may be feeling exhausted, lost, or overwhelmed. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone and support is available.
Alongside my qualifications and experience as a counsellor, I bring a wealth of real-world understanding from careers in the corporate sector, education, and running my own business. My personal experiences as a woman, daughter, wife, sister, and mother also help me connect with clients in a genuine, compassionate, and meaningful way.
I believe therapy should be as individual as you are, so I tailor my approach to your unique needs. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can pause, reflect, and make sense of what's happening in your life. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, uncover what's holding you back, and help you develop greater self-understanding, resilience, and confidence so you can move forward with clarity and renewed hope.
Taking the first step in seeking support can be difficult I know, but I would welcome the opportunity to help you through the difficulties you're facing. I offer a free 30 minute in person consultation at my office in Marlow or online; if you think I can help, please do get in touch.
Practice description
Clients often come at a time when they are finding day to day life challenging so the focus may initially be on improving the "here and now" enabling them to feel more positive on a daily basis.
As the therapeutic relationship progresses, we may look at exploring your personal history as this is beneficial in helping clients to make long term change avoiding a repetition of the challenges you are currently experiencing. This will all be approached at a pace and depth comfortable for you.
