About me and my therapy practice
You have worked hard to build your life, yet it feels like something is missing. Maybe you are in your 20s or 30s, navigating the pressures of a demanding career, or perhaps you are managing the complexities of a major life transition—marriage, home-buying, or becoming a parent.
You love your partner, but you have hit a cycle you cannot bypass. Relationships are the most complex "project" you will ever manage, and often, high-performers are the first to recognise when they need external, expert input to break a stalemate.
I am David, a therapist working with high-achieving individuals and couples who want more than just "getting by." Whether you are monogamous, polyamorous, or navigating ENM, I offer a professional, collaborative space to identify the blocks keeping you from a deeper, more resilient connection.
Why work with me?
I do not believe in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ model. I bring my full, human self into our work, combining deep empathy with a structured, integrative approach. I don’t take sides; I help you understand the separate narratives you both bring to the table so you can stop repeating old patterns.
I can help you to:
- Navigate transitions: Adjust to new life chapters without losing your connection.
- Communicate effectively: Move from circular arguments to productive, honest dialogue.
- Reclaim intimacy: Unpack the emotional and physical barriers holding you back.
- Build a resilient foundation: Design a relationship that evolves with you.
Practice description
You can bring whatever you are feeling to our sessions—whether it is anger, sadness, or a total inability to find the words. Nothing you say will disturb me; I am here to provide a secure, non-judgemental space where we can be radically honest.
My role is to be your intuitive, active collaborator. I listen deeply to the patterns you cannot see, asking the right questions at the right time to help you cut through the noise. While you may feel stuck, the answers are already there; we simply need to clear the weeds to uncover your path forward.
Working together, we will:
- Develop deep self-compassion: Understand your own and your partner’s narratives with clarity.
- Master communication: Move past conflict to clear, loving dialogue without the fear of judgement.
- Establish healthy boundaries: Define what works for your relationship and gain the confidence to maintain it.
- Build long-term resilience: Develop the tools to navigate future challenges long after our work concludes.
Change is a process, but it is an investment in your most valuable project: your relationship. I am here to provide the consistent support you need to navigate that journey effectively.
My first session
I provide secure, professional therapy via Zoom.
Please note: I currently have availability for online sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the day.
The Introductory Call
To ensure we are the right fit, I offer a no-obligation 20-minute introductory call. This is a chance for you to ask questions, for me to hear a little about your situation, and for you to decide if you feel comfortable working with me.
Getting Started
If you choose to proceed, we will arrange regular sessions. Depending on your needs, we can agree on a set number of sessions or work on an open-ended basis to explore your dynamics in depth. In our first full session, I will focus on understanding your story and defining the specific outcomes you want to achieve.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space to bring any concerns that you wish. As we have all felt lost, alone or unheard at some point in our lives, I think that everyone can benefit from counselling.
In the therapy room I hold the space for you to share your story and to share what the world looks like for you. It’s a confidential, non-judgemental space for you to explore the things that you want to.
Practice description
I believe that no two clients are the same and so I take an integrative approach.
This means that I have a range of different tools, which can be combined and used depending on what is best for each client. I may use warm person centred techniques to allow you to share your thoughts and feelings, and so relax into yourself. On other occasions, I might take a more pyschodynamic approach helping you become aware of how past situations or events may still be influencing your behaviours today, giving you new options for tomorrow.
My first session
I offer a free 20minute introductory call (usually on Zoom). This allows for you to ask any questions, for me to share a bit more of how I work and for us to decide if we want to start working together. There is no obligations if you wish to have an inital call.
In the first 50 minute session we will go through our therapy agreement and there will be a few questionnaires that we will fill in together. This will help me to get to know you a bit better and give us a chance to set some aims and goals for our work.
From then on the sessions will be led by you and what you wish to bring to explore. There will be regualar reviews of our work together.
