Availability
I currently have availability from Monday to Thursday at various times throughout the day, including morning and evening appointments. My working pattern is flexible, and I do my best to accommodate different schedules, including shift work. If you need specific times or a regular slot, please feel free to contact me and we can explore what might work best for you.
Sessions can take place weekly or every other week, depending on your needs and the pace that feels most supportive. We can discuss this together during your initial conversation or at any point as therapy progresses.
For outdoor therapy, sessions need to take place during daylight hours, and we will choose times and locations that feel safe, comfortable and accessible. Outdoor availability may vary seasonally, and I am always happy to discuss suitable options.
About me and my therapy practice
Many people come to me when they feel overwhelmed by anxiety, grief, loss, menopause changes or the effects of past experiences. I offer a calm and steady space where you can pause, breathe and explore what feels important. My approach is gentle, person centred and grounded in genuine connection, and we work at a pace that feels right for you.
Therapy can help when life feels confusing or unsettled. You may be experiencing low mood, burnout, relationship strain or a sense of disconnection or loss of identity. Together, we create space to reflect on what is happening and support you in finding clarity, steadiness and a renewed sense of self.
I have a BSc Honours degree in Counselling and work in an integrative way, rooted in person centred values and informed by trauma sensitive practice. When helpful, I may include CBT tools to support anxiety, overwhelm or confidence. Sessions can explore emotions, thought patterns or bodily sensations, or simply offer room to be heard without judgement. You remain in control of what you share and how deeply we go.
My background includes supporting people through many forms of grief and loss, as well as the emotional impact of life changes and illness. I have a particular interest in menopause and perimenopause, and how transitions shape wellbeing, identity and relationships. Alongside individual therapy, I offer menopause CBT groups, and educational workshops. I provide EAP counselling under various providers plus wellbeing support for local organisations unable to access to larger EAP providers. I also provide personal therapy for trainee counsellors.
I welcome adults and young people aged 14+ from all backgrounds and identities, including LGBTQ+ clients. My aim is to offer a space that feels inclusive, compassionate and affirming. I offer in person sessions in the local area and online therapy across the UK. If you would like to see whether working together feels right, you are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.
Practice description
I offer flexible ways of working to suit your needs, whether that is face-to-face in a private and comfortable room at my office, online via video, by telephone, or outdoors in calming natural settings.
My cosy therapy room is close to Wigan town centre, with free parking and excellent public transport links. There is a bus stop less than five minutes away, making it an easy and welcoming place to reach.
Outdoor therapy is also available if you feel more at ease in nature. Sessions can take place while sitting on a quiet bench in a green space or walking side by side through accessible locations across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and Merseyside. This way of working can feel more relaxed, and many locations are suitable for people with mobility needs. Outdoor sessions are always optional and flexible. If the weather changes or you would prefer a different setting, we can move indoors, online or to the telephone without any difficulty.
You are welcome to bring anything that feels heavy, confusing or difficult to face alone. People often come to me for support with anxiety, bereavement and loss, menopause related changes, identity or relationship concerns, LGBTQ+ experiences, depression, workplace pressure, trauma, stress, or simply feel stuck and lost. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure of yourself, or simply sense that something is not quite right and want space to explore it gently.
Trust and safety are central to the way I work. My aim is to offer a secure, respectful and grounded space where you can talk openly and move at a pace that feels right for you.
I welcome adults and young people aged 14+ of all backgrounds and identities and work in an inclusive way that honours your lived experience.
If you are curious about whether therapy might help, I am happy to offer an informal and no pressure chat. You can also visit my website to learn more about how I work, including outdoor therapy. When you feel ready, I would be glad to hear from you.
My first session
Before your first session I can offer a free 20-minute initial telephone or video consultation so you can get a sense of me and how I work. This is a gentle introduction where we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope for, and any questions you may have. It also gives us both a chance to see whether we feel comfortable working together. There is no pressure or expectation to commit to anything at this stage.
Your first full session after the introductory call is a gentle starting point. You are not expected to tell your whole story or talk about anything before you feel ready. We move slowly and steadily, giving you space to settle and begin to explore what is important to you. Trust and safety are central to the way I work, and I aim to offer a space where you feel respected, supported and able to speak openly without judgement.
We can also discuss the different ways we might work together, whether that is in my cosy therapy room, online, by telephone or outdoors in natural surroundings. You are free to choose the setting that feels most comfortable, and you can change this at any time as your needs evolve.
If you are unsure about anything or would like to talk things through before booking, please feel free to get in touch. I am always happy to have an informal conversation to help you decide what feels right for you.
