About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor offering a compassionate, non-judgemental space for those navigating trauma, ADHD, addiction, and emotional overwhelm.
My work is rooted in the understanding that many of us carry internal conflicts 鈥 different parts of ourselves shaped by past experiences, survival, and unmet needs. These parts can feel chaotic, contradictory, or even self-destructive at times, but they all have a purpose. You are not broken 鈥 you have adapted.
I am open about the fact that I have my own lived experience of ADHD, trauma, and addiction. This allows me to meet clients with genuine empathy, without shame or judgement. However, my role is always to support your process, holding clear professional boundaries and a safe therapeutic space.
Many people I work with struggle with:
鈥 Feeling overwhelmed or 鈥渁ll over the place鈥
鈥 Addiction or unhealthy coping patterns
鈥 Trauma and its lasting effects on the body and mind
鈥 A deep sense of loneliness or not belonging
鈥 Craving connection, safety, or something that was never fully there
Loneliness can leave us vulnerable. When our emotional needs haven鈥檛 been met, we may find ourselves drawn toward people, substances, or patterns that offer temporary relief but ultimately deepen the pain. In therapy, we gently explore these patterns without judgement, helping you understand where they come from and how change becomes possible.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing on:
鈥 Person-centred therapy
鈥 Gestalt approaches
鈥 Embodied and somatic awareness
鈥 Parts-based understanding (inner conflict work)
I believe healing does not come from 鈥渇ixing鈥 yourself, but from building awareness, safety, and connection within. Together, we can begin to make sense of your experiences, reduce overwhelm, and move toward a more grounded and integrated way of being.
You are not alone in how you feel 鈥 even if it has felt that way for a long time.
Practice description
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space for those experiencing trauma, ADHD, addiction, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, supporting you to explore your experiences at your own pace.
I understand that many people struggle with internal conflict 鈥 feeling pulled in different directions by thoughts, emotions, and coping patterns. These responses are not a sign that something is wrong with you, but ways you have adapted.
I bring both professional training and lived experience, allowing me to work with empathy while maintaining clear boundaries and a grounded therapeutic space.
Many clients come to me feeling stuck, alone, or overwhelmed. Together, we gently explore these patterns, helping you build understanding, reduce shame, and move toward greater balance and connection.
You are not alone, and change is possible.
My first session
The first session is a gentle introduction where we begin to get to know each other. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with 鈥 there is no pressure.
We will explore what has brought you to therapy, what you are currently struggling with, and what you hope to gain from the process. I will also explain how I work, including boundaries, confidentiality, and how sessions are structured.
This session is also an opportunity for you to see how it feels to work with me. Feeling safe and comfortable is important, so you are free to ask questions and decide if this is the right space for you.
We will move at your pace, with honesty, care, and without judgement.
