About me and my therapy practice
I work in a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental way, offering a safe space where you can explore whatever is on your mind at your own pace. I believe that feeling heard, understood, and accepted is central to meaningful therapeutic change, and I aim to build a trusting relationship where you feel comfortable being open and honest.
My approach is drawing mainly on Person-Centred Counselling alongside Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This allows us to work in a way that is both supportive and reflective, while also offering practical tools to help you understand and manage difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Where helpful, I may also draw on psychodynamic ideas to explore patterns and experiences that may be influencing how you feel in the present.
In our sessions, we will focus on what feels most important for you. This might involve making sense of current challenges, exploring emotional experiences such as anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, or depression, or working through relationship and life difficulties. We will go at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you, with no pressure to talk about anything before you are ready.
I work collaboratively, meaning you are always central to the process. We can think together about what you would like from therapy and gently build towards those goals, while also allowing space for reflection and whatever arises in the moment.
Alongside emotional exploration, CBT techniques can help us identify unhelpful patterns between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Together, we can look at developing more balanced ways of thinking, healthier coping strategies, and practical tools that you can use in everyday life.
My aim is to provide a consistent, supportive space where you can feel more grounded, gain clarity, and develop greater self-understanding and resilience, so you can move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Practice description
I believe therapy should be shaped around your unique experiences, needs, and goals. My approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, person-centred, and cognitive behavioural therapies. This allows us to explore both current challenges and deeper patterns, supporting self-understanding, emotional growth, and practical change.
Our sessions provide a safe and reflective space for you to talk openly, process your experiences, and begin to make sense of what you are going through. I aim to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered, while also working with you to develop helpful tools and strategies to manage difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
I work collaboratively, placing you at the centre of the process. We will explore what feels most important for you and work at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable. Some sessions may focus more on reflection and understanding, while others may be more focused on practical coping strategies and moving forward.
I support adults from diverse backgrounds, both in the UK and internationally, experiencing a range of difficulties including grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, anger, and relationship challenges.
Above all, my priority is to offer a trusting and respectful therapeutic relationship where you feel safe to explore your experiences without judgement.
Sessions can be arranged online or via telephone, offering flexibility so you can choose the format that feels most comfortable for you.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation, giving you the opportunity to explore whether counselling and my therapeutic approach feel right for you at this time. This is a relaxed, informal space where you can ask any questions, share a little about what has brought you to therapy, and get a sense of how I work, without any pressure to continue.
If you decide to move forward, our first full session will focus on assessment and building a strong foundation for our work together. This will include contracting, a wellbeing assessment, and exploring your expectations of therapy and what you would like to gain from the process. We will also begin to gently explore what has been going on for you, at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable.
This first stage is an important part of the therapeutic journey, as it helps us understand your needs, agree how we will work together, and ensure that therapy feels safe, structured, and supportive. It also gives you space to reflect on your experiences and begin to express your thoughts and feelings in a confidential and non-judgemental environment.
Throughout this process, my aim is to support you in feeling at ease, respected, and heard. I work collaboratively, meaning you are always central to decisions about your therapy, including goals, pace, and focus of sessions. I will regularly check in with you to ensure the work continues to meet your needs and feels helpful for you.
Above all, I aim to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to explore what is going on in your life, gain greater self-understanding, and begin to move towards meaningful and lasting change.

About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I’m a warm, caring, and compassionate counsellor who believes everyone deserves to feel truly heard and understood. If you’ve been carrying heavy worries, feeling alone in your struggles, or unsure where to turn, I offer a safe and non-judgemental space where you can share what’s on your mind at your own pace.
You might be navigating bereavement or loss, standing at a crossroads in life, or feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, guilt, or shame. Perhaps you’re struggling with relationship challenges, work stress, or changes that have left you feeling isolated, angry, or confused. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. Talking to someone who isn’t emotionally involved can help you make sense of what’s happening, explore your feelings, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
