About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes we know we're struggling, but we don't always understand why.
Anxiety, relationship difficulties, low mood or overwhelming emotions can leave us feeling as though something is wrong with us. I believe our difficulties often make sense in the context of the relationships and experiences that have shaped us.
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and it's natural to feel uncertain. My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted.
Together, we'll seek to understand, not judge, the experiences that have shaped you. As we gently explore your thoughts, feelings and relationships, you may begin to understand yourself more deeply and the patterns that may be influencing your life today. Therapy isn't about fixing you; it's about understanding yourself with compassion so that meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we'll work together at a pace that feels safe and right for you.
I am a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Registered Counsellor with specialist training in Attachment-Based Psychotherapy, based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
I work with adults and young people, offering face-to-face counselling in a comfortable, private therapy room, as well as online and telephone sessions.
I have supported people experiencing anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, grief, trauma, abuse, post-natal depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I also work with autistic clients, those with ADHD or ADD, and individuals awaiting assessment.
My attachment-based approach helps us understand not just what you're struggling with, but why. Together, we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, supporting greater self-awareness, healthier relationships and lasting change.
Practice description
I work integratively, tailoring therapy to your individual needs. While I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, my work is grounded in Attachment-Based Psychotherapy, recognising that our earliest relationships can influence how we experience ourselves, regulate our emotions and relate to others throughout life.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I seek to understand the whole person and the experiences that have shaped them. Together, we can gently explore recurring patterns, deepen self-awareness, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
I believe the therapeutic relationship itself can provide a safe and secure foundation for healing and growth. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity and compassion, supporting you to discover your own strengths and move towards the life you want to live.
I work with adults and young people, offering face-to-face counselling from my private therapy room in Sutton Coldfield, as well as online and telephone sessions.
I have experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, panic, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, grief, trauma, abuse, post-natal depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I also work with autistic clients, individuals with ADHD or ADD, and those awaiting assessment.
Although people often come to therapy because of one particular concern, we frequently discover there are deeper experiences influencing how they feel today. Exploring these together can bring greater understanding, choice and lasting change.
My first session
I offer both short- and long-term therapy, in person or online, with some evening and weekend availability.
I understand that not everyone knows what they want from therapy or how to choose a therapist to suit their needs. For this reason, I offer a free 15 minute consultation during which we will have a conversation so that you can see how it feels to talk with me and from there you can make an informed decision as to whether you would like to begin working together.
I provide in person sessions, based in a comfortable and private counselling room in Sutton Coldfield, located close to the High Street. (there are stairs and no lift at this office unfortunately)
I also provide sessions Online (Zoom) and Telephone, for those who have difficulty accessing my room, or prefer online to in person.
