About me and my therapy practice
Loss, illness, uncertainty, or sudden change can unsettle your sense of who you are and how you want to live. Therapy offers a space to slow down and meet what is happening with curiosity and commitment, making room for new ways of responding to take shape.
I don't frame the work through diagnosis or labels. Instead, we attend closely to your lived experience: how you encounter the world, and whether the assumptions, habits, and stories you carry still serve you. It is a relational process, shaped between us, where difficult realities can be met with care rather than fought or pushed aside.
Change tends to follow from this rather than being forced. As you stay with your experience, how you relate to yourself and your life begins to shift — often towards greater freedom, and a life closer to what matters most.
People come to me with anxiety, depression, bereavement, illness, questions of sexuality and identity, relationship difficulties, and burnout. Others arrive with something harder to name, such as a loss of meaning or a sense of being stuck. Whoever you are and whatever you bring, the work begins in the same place: attending closely to what is here, together.
I also work with couples, who often arrive worn down by the same argument, or by a distance neither chose. Others come to decide whether to stay together, or how to separate well. I don't take sides or rule on who is right. The work is to make each person's world intelligible to the other, so that what has hardened between you can be communicated around again.
My training is rooted in existential psychotherapy, and my practice is integrative, drawing on approaches that suit how you work. My work is also informed by Buddhist practice, which I practise and teach, and by a background in storytelling. I have a particular interest in radical change, including transformation brought about by psychedelic visions, having recently completed a doctoral thesis in this area.
Practice description
I am a registered psychotherapist (MÌÇÐĹÙÍø and UKCP) with wide-ranging experience working with adults of all ages and backgrounds.
I work both in-person and online.
I offer a free fifteen-minute Zoom conversation to explore what you are looking for and get a sense of whether we would work well together. If you have questions before booking, do ask.
Individual sessions are £80 for 50 minutes. Couples are £100 for 50 minutes, or £150 for 75 minutes, which many couples find gives the work more room. I keep a limited number of low-cost places for those who cannot meet the full fee.
