About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to my profile.

My name is Grace and I am a person-centred counsellor. I offer a warm, safe and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what you are going through, at a pace that feels right for you.

How I work

In our sessions, the focus is on you – your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I will listen carefully, with empathy and without judgement, and support you to explore what is happening in your life, make sense of your emotions, and gently consider new ways forward.

My way of working is gentle and sensitive. You will not be pushed or rushed; instead, we will work together to build trust and understanding so you feel truly heard and respected.

What you can expect

  • A confidential space to speak freely
  • A calm, compassionate presence
  • Time to explore whatever you bring, whether it's specific difficulties or a general sense that something needs to change

Practical details

I currently offer counselling:

  • Remotely (telephone or online video)
  • In person

If you feel I might be a good fit for you, you are welcome to get in touch to ask any questions or arrange an initial session.

Practice description

Here is a little bit about me and how I work.

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor with over 10 years of experience and eight years of training in this field. My qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Counselling Skills with Psychology (BA) and a postgraduate degree in Clinical Counselling (MA). I have also completed the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Certificate of Proficiency in Working Online, which means I am trained to offer safe and effective remote counselling.

My approach is warm, collaborative and led by your needs. Together, we can explore what is happening in your life, make sense of difficult feelings and gently consider possible changes, all at a pace that feels right for you.

I have completed training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and I can integrate mindfulness and meditation into our sessions if this is something that interests you. MBSR can be helpful for experiences such as chronic pain and work-related stress, using gentle awareness and relaxation techniques to support your wellbeing.

I offer concessions for students and trainee counsellors; please feel free to ask about this if it applies to you. If you would like to know more about my practice or how we might work together, you are welcome to get in touch.
