Hi, I'm Rhys.
In addition to rigorous training my path to becoming a therapist was shaped by real-world experiences. I have learned that everybody needs support at times and it's important to find the right therapist for you.
I have attended my own therapy and combined with years of experience working in the Emergency services and health and social sector, I recognise the need for safe space to address anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, burnout, and identity. As a working professional someone with ADHD (VAST), I also offer a deeply relatable, neurodivergent-affirming space for those want to explore their inner world, relationship patterns, understand how adversity impacted their self perspective and live a richer life.
The Essentials
Fee: £65 per 50-minute session or £55 concession rates (limited availability)
First Step: I offer a free 30-minute consultation so we can chat and see if we are a good fit.
Availability: Online (UK-wide) with appointment on Fridays and Saturday mornings.
Languages: Full therapy services available in both English and Welsh.
My first session
It can feel a bit daunting to start therapy, so I like to be very clear about how we begin. Our initial sessions are a collaborative "getting to know you" phase.
We’ll use this time to:
Explore your history: Gently looking at your past to see how it might be colouring your present.
Identify your goals: Discussing what you actually want to get out of our time together, whether that’s navigating a specific promotion or a deeper sense of self-understanding.
Ensure we’re a good fit: Therapy is a relationship, and it’s important that you feel I am the right person to support you.
The initial period is about making sure my approach aligns with your needs. If we decide we are a good match, we’ll then begin the process of unpicking those old scripts and building something new.
