About me and my therapy practice
I hold a dual degree Doctorate (DCPsych) from Metanoia Institute & Middlesex University, London. Alongside this, I also hold two British master’s degrees: an MSc in Psychology of Education (BPS) from Bristol University and an MSc in Psychology from Exeter University.
I am a member of several national and international professional bodies, including the British Psychological Society (BPS), the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (ÌÇÐĹÙÍø). My academic foundation began in India, where I completed an MSc in Psychology and earned bachelor’s degrees in economics, theology, and philosophy. I have also written over 200 English articles on national and global issues, three English books, and several works on neuropsychology and poetry in English and Tamil languages.
Clinically, I practise at doctoral level and work confidently with complex presentations. My natural inclination has been to help those in distress, and my advanced training has strengthened this commitment, particularly in supporting individuals facing psychological or relational difficulties. Over the last 20 years in the helping professions, I have worked with people across cultures, contexts, and life stages. Having taken on parental responsibilities early on in life and having lived within both individualist and collectivist cultures, I bring grounded insight into emotional and relational dynamics.
My dual doctoral formation included five years of personal therapy and hundreds of supervised clinical hours. These personal, academic, and professional experiences shape the care I offer: a safe, non judgemental, and supportive space for anyone navigating life’s challenges.
