About me and my therapy practice
Taking the first step toward therapy requires profound courage. As a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered practitioner with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and over ten years of clinical experience, I am dedicated to walking alongside you. I provide a secure, compassionate, and empathetic space where individuals, couples, and families can safely explore their emotions and heal from the challenges holding them back.
My practice is fundamentally client-centric. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to offer a collaborative, tailor-made approach that respects your unique history and goals. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I blend evidence-informed techniques with a warm, adaptive style. Whether you are navigating daily psychological distress, severe anxiety, depression, workplace burnout, or complex identity conflicts, we will work together to discover your inner strengths and cultivate long-term psychological wellbeing.
Consistent growth in how we communicate and express emotions has a cumulative, transformative impact on our lives. I am committed to providing the professional, safe, and high-quality care you deserve as you pursue enduring personal growth and healing.
Practice description
My practice specializes in relationship systems and healing deep-seated emotional wounds, helping clients cultivate healthier, more fulfilling dynamics. I offer a structured yet deeply supportive environment, combining a problem-solving and results-oriented framework to ensure you experience tangible progress.
I support clients across various life stages, specializing in:
Couples, Families & Premarital Counseling: Navigating premarital preparation, resolving deep-seated marital/relationship conflicts, rebuilding trust, and enhancing communication.
Individuals (Adults & Adolescents): Navigating anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, and modern life difficulties like burnout or identity struggles.
Parenting Support & Intergenerational Healing: Navigating parenting hurdles, adapting to major life transitions, and processing intergenerational trauma.
Child-Centred Therapy Approach: Utilizing a specialized child-centred framework to empower parents and guardians, equipping them with the practical tools and insights needed to effectively support and manage their children's emotional problems and behavioral challenges.
In our sessions, you can expect an active, engaged therapist who balances emotional validation with practical tools. Together, we will work on cultivating resilience, mastering anger management, reducing anxiety, and developing sustainable coping strategies for the real world.
My first session
Finding the right therapist is entirely about the "right fit." To help you decide if we are a good match, I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory phone consultation. This brief call allows us to discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and gives you a feel for my collaborative approach.
If we decide to move forward, our first official paid session will be an initial assessment. During this session, we will explore your personal history, current challenges—such as anxiety, depression, or parenting struggles—and goals for therapy in greater depth. For couples and families, this is an opportunity to observe your dynamics in a safe, non-judgmental space. For families seeking support with children, the first session typically involves a comprehensive intake consultation with the parents or guardians alone to understand the child's developmental background, family dynamics, and emotional needs.
This initial assessment establishes the foundation for our customized therapeutic plan, ensuring our subsequent work is purposeful, targeted, and aligned with the results you wish to achieve. Please feel free to reach out when you feel ready.
