About me and my therapy practice
Many of the people who come to counselling have spent years taking care of everyone else.
They are the person others rely on. The one who keeps going, stays strong and puts their own needs to the bottom of the list. From the outside, they may appear to be coping well, yet inside they feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted or unsure of who they are anymore.
If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.
Seeking support can feel daunting. You may have spent a long time talking yourself out of reaching out, convincing yourself that other people need help more than you do. Yet your wellbeing matters too.
As someone who has experienced counselling myself, I understand how vulnerable it can feel to sit with a stranger and talk about the parts of life that are difficult. I also know the positive changes that can happen when you give yourself permission to be heard, understood and supported.
I offer online and telephone counselling throughout the UK, alongside face-to-face sessions from my counselling room in Kirkdale, Liverpool (L4). If you have found my profile through a nearby postcode search, please note that my counselling room may be a short drive away. Many clients choose to travel for in-person sessions, while others prefer the convenience and flexibility of online or telephone counselling.
My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, make sense of what you are carrying and begin reconnecting with yourself.
Practice description
I work integratively, drawing from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches. This allows me to tailor counselling to your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit into one particular model.
Together we can explore the thoughts, feelings, patterns and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing today. Sometimes this means looking at current challenges, while at other times it involves understanding how past experiences continue to influence your life.
Some of the experiences I work with...
I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including:
• Anxiety and low mood
• Low self-esteem and self-confidence
• Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted
• Relationship difficulties
• Life transitions and change
• Childhood experiences and their lasting impact
• Feelings of abandonment, insecurity or loss
• Difficulty expressing emotions or setting boundaries
I believe lasting change begins with awareness, self-compassion and curiosity rather than criticism or judgement.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, welcome to my page...
I’m Tammy, a qualified therapeutic counsellor based in Liverpool. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, talk openly, and feel truly heard and understood. I have a therapy office space in the L4 area of Liverpool for in-person sessions and also provide online and phone sessions. Sessions are from late morning, afternoons and early evening.
Lets get honest with ourselves.... life is hard right now and a lot of people are struggling, mentally, emotionally and physically.
I work with adults facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, overthinking, low mood, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loneliness, stress, life transitions, and the impact of past or childhood experiences. Many of my clients come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, self-critical, or disconnected from themselves. Through our work together, I aim to help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and patterns more clearly so that you can begin to move forward with greater confidence and kindness toward yourself.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many people come to counselling feeling this way.
Practice description
I believe the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client is at the heart of effective therapy. My aim is to create a space where you feel safe enough to talk about things you may never have said out loud before. As we explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences together, new understanding and insights can begin to emerge, helping you move forward in ways that feel meaningful for you.
My therapeutic approach is integrative which includes Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Inner Child work.
This allows me to tailor our sessions to your individual needs and experiences.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Tammy—welcome to my page...
I am a warm and compassionate, qualified therapeutic counsellor based in Liverpool. My approach is to provide a non-judgmental, safe, and empathetic space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I believe in the power of counselling to support mental and emotional well-being. Through this process, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, feel lighter, calmer, and more in control of your life.
The client-counsellor relationship is unique—built on trust, openness, and connection. As you share and explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, you can gain new insights, break unhelpful patterns, and move forward with confidence.
If you're ready to take that step, I’m here to support you.
Practice description
I offer one hour counselling sessions in-person, online, or over the phone, providing flexibility to suit your needs. I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, including:
- anxiety, worry, depression, low mood,
- struggles with self-esteem and self-confidence,
- emotions, abandonment, loneliness,
- childhood experiences, or abuse,
- relationship difficulties, past experiences,
- family issues, stress, work pressures, or major life changes.
My approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Inner Child Work. This allows me to tailor sessions to your unique needs, promoting healing from a mental, emotional, and even physical perspective.
Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you—helping you gain insight, process emotions, and build resilience for lasting change.

Your First Session
In our first session, we will go through our working agreement, along with some questions about your worries and mood. This helps us establish a foundation for our work together.
Sessions are entirely for you and about you. You may want to talk through specific issues, or you might prefer a more general discussion about how you're feeling. While I may offer insights and suggestions, I won’t tell you what you should think or do—this is your space to explore at your own pace.
