Face-to-face and online counselling
I offer face-to-face counselling sessions near Reading town centre, as well as online sessions.
Appointments are available during weekday daytimes and evenings, together with Saturday morning sessions.
I am happy to talk through any questions you may have about counselling with me and how I work. Please feel free to get in touch.
If I am away, I will update this here in advance.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer face-to-face and online counselling for stress, low mood, low self-esteem, life changes and difficult times.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, stressed, burnt out, or finding it difficult to cope, and unsure how to move forward in yourself or in life, as things may have been feeling heavy, confusing, or difficult to manage for some time.
Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to go through it alone.
My approach is mainly person-centred, which means I focus on you and what matters most to you. I aim to meet you where you are, with openness, care and respect, so you can feel more understood and start to feel clearer about what’s going on for you.
Together, we can take time to talk about whatever feels important to you, giving you space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.
Over time, this can help you gain a clearer understanding of yourself and find a way forward that feels right for you, helping you move towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
I am a qualified counsellor and a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø registered member, and everything you share is treated in confidence within professional guidelines.
Practice description
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, normally at the same time each week.
I mainly work face-to-face, offering short-term, long-term, single-session, time-limited, and open-ended work.
Face to face sessions take place in your own counselling room within a professional building used by other counsellors and therapists, with good access by public transport and nearby parking available.
I also offer short-term online sessions.
For longer-term or open-ended work, online sessions can sometimes be arranged on an occasional, practical basis if we agree this together in advance. I understand life can be busy or complicated, so we can think together about what works best for you.
My first session
Taking the first step into counselling can feel like a big step. To help with this, I offer a free, no-pressure 15-minute phone or online call. This is a chance for you to ask any questions, share a little about what’s bringing you to counselling, and get a sense of whether I feel like the right person for you to work with.
It also gives me a chance to explain how I work and how counselling might support you.
If you decide to continue, we can talk through a working agreement together so the way we work feels clear and comfortable from the beginning.
You’re welcome to get in touch if you’d like to ask anything or talk through what’s been going on for you.
