About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Krissy.
Seeking therapy can feel like a daunting step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. Research consistently shows that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the biggest factors in successful therapy, so I believe it's important that you have a sense of who I am and how I work before deciding whether we're a good fit.
I am an integrative therapist trained to degree level in Counselling and Psychotherapy, with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the heart of my practice. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from carrying things on their own for too long. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, intrusive thoughts, difficult life experiences, or simply feeling disconnected from the person you want to be. Whatever has brought you here, we will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Practice description
While CBT forms the foundation of my work, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every person is unique, and I tailor our sessions to your individual needs, experiences and goals. Together, we'll explore the patterns in your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, develop a deeper understanding of what may be keeping you stuck, and find practical ways to help you move forward.
I aim to balance insight and understanding with meaningful change. Therapy isn't about "fixing" you—it's about helping you better understand yourself, develop self-compassion, and build the confidence and skills to navigate life's challenges in a way that feels right for you.
I have experience supporting adults and young people within both charitable and public sector mental health services and have worked with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:
Anxiety and panic
Depression and low mood
OCD and intrusive thoughts
Phobias
Trauma, PTSD and complex trauma
Stress and burnout
Self-esteem and confidence difficulties
Relationship issues
Grief and loss
Eating disorders
Personality disorders
Dissociation
Psychosis and schizophrenia
Mood disorders
Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
Substance misuse
Anger and emotional regulation difficulties
Neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism
My hope is that therapy provides a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. Together, we can make sense of what's happening for you, identify what matters most, and help you move towards a life that feels more manageable, meaningful and aligned with who you are.
