About me and my therapy practice
I would first like to welcome you and let you know that, just by being curious, you are taking the first step towards reaching out. The action of visiting my page is already a courageous step towards change. This potential journey is all about you and the experiences that have led you here. The initial stage to the therapeutic journey is to see whether you would like to work with me.
Am I going to be the right person for you, and can we work with each other?
My therapeutic practice has enabled me to work with individuals and groups from many backgrounds having worked in the creative arts, the charity sector, health and social care and education. I have gained experience and a broader understanding of life and some of the things that might be occurring in your internal and external world.
Many of my clients have suffered with issues such as stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, health, identity, loss, LGBTQIA+ and the breakdown of relationships, be that friendships, family, partner or business relationships, and most importantly, the relationship with yourself.
My childhood and life experiences have taught me to cultivate a natural curiosity, strength, compassion and empathy for others to be able to support you through those more challenging moments that life can show us.
I invite you to take that next step if you can, to show yourself compassion, understanding, and sometimes forgiveness and love.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist I work with you in a deeply relational way. I work with the present experience of you deciding to be in therapy. We will explore the influences from your past to the present, embedded in the acknowledgment of the conscious and unconscious in how you relate to yourself and others. We will respond to the energy in the space and help you to become your true self.
As you take the journey, to a more contented self. I will always be honest with you, and show you empathy, compassion and understanding.
My first session
I understand getting someone to trust in the process is a big ask.
Our first introductory session is the beginning of that process.
We will explore what has encouraged you seek counselling.
I will explain my way of working and we will go through a mutually agreed contract.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions that have to do with therapy and what you can expect from me.
This first session is a chance to ask all of those unanswered questions or queries you might have and see if we would like to work with each other.

You will have the opportunity to ask any questions that have to do with the sessions or, what you can expect from me.

Payment from then on is made on the day before each session.
