About me and my therapy practice

I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when life feels overwhelming. My aim is to offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted just as you are.

I work with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, abuse, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, bereavement, and life changes. Together, we work at your pace to explore what is happening for you and help you move toward greater understanding, healing, and balance.

My approach is person-centred and integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a 鈥渙ne size fits all鈥 approach. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, and I feel privileged to walk alongside clients as they navigate difficult times and rediscover their strengths.

Before becoming a Psychotherapist, I worked within the NHS as a Nurse and Midwife, progressing into senior clinical and leadership roles. I also worked within higher education, supporting students in emotionally demanding placements and roles. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of both emotional wellbeing and the impact that stress, trauma, relationships, loss, and life pressures can have on our mental and physical health.

Alongside my therapy training, I have additional training in trauma-informed therapy and experience supporting neurodivergent individuals. This helps me work sensitively and compassionately with clients who may have experienced complex or long-standing difficulties, while adapting therapy to suit how you experience and process the world.

Practice description

I work with pre-teens, teenagers, adults, and couples, offering both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on your needs. Sessions are 50 minutes long and usually take place weekly, although I can sometimes offer flexibility for shift workers.

Alongside talking therapy, I also offer coaching where appropriate, particularly around confidence, personal growth, and life direction. I regularly review our work together to ensure therapy continues to feel helpful, supportive, and meaningful for you.

Where clients are open to it, I may also incorporate creative approaches into therapy. Sometimes creativity can help us express or understand things that are difficult to put into words and can support deeper self-awareness and healing.

Whether you are struggling with something specific or simply feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or lost, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin making sense of things together.

My first session

Before our first session, I will send you my Therapy Agreement and Terms of Therapeutic Engagement so you have time to read through everything and ask any questions.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy. We will talk about your hopes for counselling, any difficulties you are experiencing, and what support may feel most helpful for you.

There is no pressure to share everything straight away; we work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced, trauma-informed Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor offering a warm, supportive, and collaborative space for therapists to reflect, grow, and feel supported in their work. My approach is person-centred and integrative, meaning I tailor supervision to you, your way of working, and the needs of your clients.

I work with both trainee and qualified therapists, supporting those working with children, young people, adults, and couples. I also have particular experience in trauma work, including childhood trauma, relationship trauma, abuse, bereavement, and PTSD, alongside working with neurodivergent clients.

My supervision is grounded in the 7-Eyed Model of Supervision, helping us explore not only the client work itself, but also the therapeutic relationship, your own responses, and the wider context around the work. Alongside professional development, I place importance on wellbeing, self-care, and creating a space where you can think openly and honestly without judgement.

Practice description

I offer supervision both in person and online, and I am trained in online and telephone working. This allows flexibility for therapists working in different ways and across different settings.

Whether you are a student, newly qualified, or an experienced therapist, I aim to provide supervision that feels supportive, reflective, and encouraging, while also helping you develop confidence, ethical awareness, and deeper understanding in your practice.

My background includes senior clinical and leadership roles within the NHS as a Nurse and Midwife, as well as experience within higher education supporting staff and students. Alongside psychotherapy and supervision, I am also a qualified Coach.

I offer reduced rates for counselling students and therapists with a smaller caseload. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this further.

My first session

Before beginning supervision, I offer an initial conversation so we can explore whether we feel like a good fit for working together. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your supervision needs, way of working, client groups, and what you are looking for from supervision.

Starting supervision is an important step, and I believe it is essential that you feel safe, comfortable, and supported from the outset.
