About me and my therapy practice

Online counsellor supporting adults through Relationships, Bereavement, Health Issues and Life transitions. Former nurse with 30 years' experience.

Practice description

Are you struggling with a significant loss, relationship difficulties, a health condition, or a major life transition? You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure how to move forward. Whatever brings you here, I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard.

I work online with adults throughout the UK. I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing relationship challenges, bereavement and loss, health-related issues, chronic illness, menopause, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and times of significant change.

Alongside my counselling training, I bring over 30 years’ experience as a nurse in a variety of healthcare settings. Supporting people through illness, uncertainty, loss, and major life events has given me a deep understanding of the emotional impact these experiences can have. This background continues to inform my counselling work and helps me offer grounded, compassionate support.

As a Pluralistic counsellor, I believe there is no single approach that works for everyone. Each person is unique, with different needs, experiences, and ways of making sense of their world. I work collaboratively with you to understand what feels most helpful and tailor our sessions accordingly, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches.

Starting counselling can feel like a big step. My aim is to provide a safe, respectful and supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel accepted and understood. Counselling can give you space to reflect, make sense of what is happening, and reconnect with your own strengths and resources.

Training, qualifications & experience:

MSc with Distinction: Pluralistic Psychotherapy - Abertay University

BSc Health Studies - Napier University
