About me and my therapy practice
I am a warm, approachable, and down-to-earth psychotherapist who is passionate about supporting people through life's challenges. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted. Whether you're dealing with something that feels overwhelming or something you find difficult to make sense of, nothing is too big or too small to bring into my therapy room.
As a fully qualified ÌÇÐĹÙÍø-registered integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs, recognising that every person's journey is unique. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is central to the healing process, and I aim to create a warm, genuine, and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and accepted. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can safely explore your thoughts, feelings, and vulnerabilities, and feel free to show up exactly as you are.
I hold a Master's degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling and am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my practice remains informed, reflective, and effective. I have experience working with a diverse range of clients across different ages and backgrounds and have previously worked with organisations including Improving Lives, Place2Be, and Mind.
Alongside my private practice, I work part-time as a School Project Manager, supporting children and young people to access therapeutic and emotional support. I also provide supervision for trainee counsellors, supporting them in their professional development as they begin their therapeutic careers.
Qualifications

• Counselling Theory and Skills Certificate (Level 3)
• Counselling Skills Certificate (Level 2)

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change.
Practice description
I believe that each of us has a unique story that shapes how we experience the world, relate to others, and understand ourselves. Sometimes, exploring that story can help us gain greater self-awareness, understand our emotional responses and triggers, and make sense of patterns that may no longer serve us. I also recognise that no two people experience life in the same way.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques, allowing me to tailor our work together to suit your individual needs, experiences, or goals. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I aim to offer therapy that feels meaningful and relevant to you.
I understand that reaching out for therapy can take courage. Beginning this journey can feel daunting, which is why I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Our sessions are led by what matters most to you, as I believe you are the expert on your own life and experiences. My role is to provide a supportive, reflective space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with curiosity and compassion.
At times, it can be difficult to fully understand what you're feeling or why you're feeling it. Together, we can gently explore those emotions, helping you identify, name, and make sense of them, while developing a deeper understanding of yourself.
My practice is primarily based on talking therapy, offering a space for open conversation and reflection. Occasionally, I may suggest creative or experiential techniques that could support our work together. These are always offered as invitations rather than expectations, and you are free to choose what feels right for you.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, with sessions available face-to-face or online via Zoom. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and can be arranged on a weekly or fortnightly basis. For longer-term clients, flexible drop-in sessions may also be available when additional support is needed.
My first session
Starting therapy can bring up a range of emotions — from hope and curiosity to uncertainty or nervousness. These feelings are completely understandable when meeting someone new and beginning to talk about personal experiences. My aim is to help you feel as comfortable and at ease as possible, creating a space where you can share at a pace that feels right for you.
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. We can explore what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with, and any hopes or expectations you may have for our work together. There is no pressure to share everything straight away; we will move at a pace that feels manageable and comfortable for you.
At the start of our first session, I will briefly go through the counselling agreement, which will be sent to you beforehand, and answer any questions you may have. I may also ask a few questions to help me gain a better understanding of your experiences and what has led you to seek therapy at this time. However, the majority of the session is your space to talk about whatever feels most important to you.
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process. For this reason, I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and learn more about how I work.
If you would like to arrange a free consultation or have any questions, please feel free to get in touch by phone, text, or email. To protect your privacy, I only return missed calls when a voicemail has been left, as I take your message as consent to contact you.
Whether you're ready to begin or simply exploring your options, I welcome you to get in touch.
