About me and my therapy practice

Shaz Isaac

www.healingrivertherapy.com

Hello, I'm Shaz, a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Accredited Somatic Trauma Therapist. I work with adults who carry the effects of trauma, whether that's a single overwhelming event, or something longer and harder to name. Much of my work is with complex and developmental trauma, and with people who've often felt too much, not enough, or as though traditional talking therapy hasn't quite fitted them.

I have a particular understanding of neurodivergent adults, especially those navigating ADHD, autism, or a later diagnosis, and the ways trauma and a differently wired nervous system can intertwine.

This isn't just talking therapy. I work with the whole person, mind, body and nervous system, because real change lives in the body as much as in the words we find for it. My approach draws together somatic trauma therapy, Internal Family Systems, breathwork, and coaching.

If you've spent years masking, burning out, or feeling disconnected from yourself, this is a space where all of that is understood, not pathologised. We work at a pace that supports safety and nervous-system regulation, without pressure.

I work online across the UK and in person in Loughton, Essex.

ÌÇÐĹÙÍø Accredited. Somatic Trauma Therapist (CPCAB Level 5). IFS Institute trained, Level 1 (Level 2 in progress). ILM Level 5 Coaching. Breathwork Coach CPCAB Level 3

Practice description

Therapy with me is about slowing down, feeling safe, and making sense of what's happening inside. My approach is compassionate, body-aware and collaborative, drawing on somatic trauma therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy approaches, the rewind and flash techniques, EFT, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and breathwork to support lasting change.

I offer a neurodivergent-affirming space where all ways of thinking, feeling and experiencing the world are welcomed. As a neurodivergent therapist myself, my practice is neuro-inclusive, recognising that every nervous system works differently and that safety looks different for everyone.

You don't need to know where to start; we begin with where you are. Together we explore the parts of you that may feel protective, overwhelmed or shut down, helping them find understanding and calm. Therapy with me is real and honest: I check in often, welcome feedback, and work at your pace so it feels safe and grounded.

I currently offer weekly online therapy for adults across the UK.

My first session

If you have any questions to begin with, I'm happy to answer them over a free introductory phone call of around 15 to 20 minutes, or by email. If you've reached out and not heard back, please do check your junk or spam folder, as my replies sometimes land there.

Your first session is offered at a reduced rate. It's a gentle introduction, a chance to get to know each other and see whether it feels like the right fit. You're welcome to share what's been happening and what you're hoping for, but there's no pressure to go into everything at once. We move at your pace.

Feeling safe and connected is the foundation of the work. I encourage openness about how sessions feel, and I check in regularly so therapy stays collaborative and supportive.
