About me and my therapy practice

A Trauma-Informed Approach

Central to my counselling philosophy is a trauma-informed framework that prioritises safety, trust, and collaboration. I strive to create an environment where survivors feel empowered to share their stories at their own pace, without fear of judgment or re-traumatisation. This involves:

• Ensuring physical and emotional safety in every interaction

• Practicing transparency and clear boundaries

• Valuing client autonomy and informed consent

• Recognizing and validating the impact of trauma

• Encouraging self-compassion and resilience

By honouring the survivor’s experience and expertise in their own lives, my role is to facilitate a collaborative therapeutic relationship—one built on mutual respect and deep listening

My commitment is to meet each individual with unconditional regard, affirming their strengths, autonomy, and right to be heard.

Practice description

My commitment to ongoing professional growth is reflected in my further clinical development and experience in areas such as grounding techniques, Polyvagal therapy, trauma-specific interventions, emotional-limited art therapy, inner child work, re-parenting, and supporting those with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and neurodiversities. I believe in integrating creative and strength-based approaches to therapy, empowering survivors to reconnect with their inherent resilience and inner resources.

By weaving together evidence-based modalities, lived expertise, and a foundation of compassion, my practice aims to offer survivors a safe, responsive, and affirming space where hope and healing can take root.

My first session

Creating a Safe Therapeutic Space

The counselling space I offer is grounded in warmth, authenticity, and attentive presence. I pay close attention to the physical environment—lighting, seating, privacy—understanding that even subtle details can influence a survivor’s sense of comfort and trust. I invite feedback and adapt my approach to best support each client’s needs and preferences.

Confidentiality is foundational, as is transparency around reporting requirements and client rights. I work to empower survivors in making informed choices about their healing process, supporting them in setting goals and pacing their journey.

Availability

I currently offer a flexible availability for supervision, I can offer weekdays and evenings.

I have space for all grades of counsellors seeking supervision support.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a clinical supervisor who places nurturing, mentoring, and professional growth at the heart of my supervision practice. My approach is grounded in existential practice and humanistic counselling, creating a reflective, supportive space where supervisees can deepen their self-awareness, confidence, and clinical understanding. I am also able to train practitioners in trauma-informed practice and work closely with new counsellors as they develop their private practice, offering guidance that is thoughtful, encouraging, and responsive to their individual needs.

I currently have space for new and established counsellors seeking to grow there practice and self awareness.

Practice description

I offer a bespoke supervision experience.

I work with the Hawkins and Shohet Seven-eyed model, but I am trained and skilled in many models that can support and nurture my supervisee in getting to where they want to be.

I contract individually and in a Collaboratory way, so we have formed CPD goals and stages that my supervisee can work towards.

I also offer psycho education as part of supervision and group supervision options for my supervisees to have a wider network of support.

My first session

I offer a 20min Zoom meeting to see if we can work together.

In that meeting, we both get an opportunity to ask questions and negotiate so we can form a working alliance together.

You, the supervisee, are the centre of the negotiations and I, the supervisor, know clearly what your formative, normative, restorative, and qualitative needs are.

I work as a collaborative supervisor; I will advise, but I offer a space to grow and challenge.

I want you to look forward to our sessions, not dread the mandatory 1.5 hours.

I do have to ask for an assessment, but this is purely to help me find out what type of learner you are, so I can then support you in a bespoke way.

I also specialise in dyslexia, ADHD and counsellors who are working with trauma or PTSD.

I also have experience of working with disabled counsellors.
