I offer sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturday mornings.

In-person appointments are available during daytime hours only, in a welcoming and accessible space in the village of Tarporley (with free off-road parking and a fully accessible room).

Online and phone therapy is available nationally, with daytime and evening options. Some limited availability on other evenings for online/phone sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, painful, or difficult to make sense of, especially when you’re carrying grief, navigating change, struggling in relationships, or feeling emotionally exhausted.

You may be coping with bereavement, burnout, anxiety, low self-worth, domestic abuse, or the impact of difficult past experiences. You might feel stuck, lost, emotionally overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. For some people, therapy becomes a space to finally pause and explore feelings they have carried alone for a long time.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties and life transitions, including:

  • Bereavement and grief
  • Pet bereavement
  • Domestic abuse and trauma
  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Anxiety and low self-esteem
  • Midlife transitions and identity changes
  • Childhood experiences impacting the present
  • Caring responsibilities and family pressures

My approach is person-centred, relational, and trauma-informed. I offer a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences safely and at your own pace. I believe that when people feel truly heard, accepted, and understood, meaningful change can begin to happen.

Pet bereavement is an area especially close to my heart, both personally and academically. My master’s research explored the human-animal bond and the emotional impact of losing an animal companion, and I understand how profound and misunderstood that grief can sometimes feel.

Whatever you are bringing, you do not need to have it all figured out before coming to therapy.

Practice description

Therapy with me is collaborative and led by you. I aim to offer a calm, supportive, and emotionally safe space where we can explore what feels difficult together.

My core training is in person-centred counselling, and my work is grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and a genuine therapeutic relationship. Alongside this, I work in a trauma-informed way, paying close attention to emotional safety, pacing, and regulation within the therapy process.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a teacher in both the UK and Asia, supporting young people pastorally and academically. I also grew up across different countries and cultures as a third-culture kid, experiences which shaped my understanding of identity, belonging, and change.

Alongside my private practice, I currently work as a counsellor for a well-established charity supporting clients experiencing bereavement, domestic abuse, trauma, and other significant life challenges.

I understand how important it can be to feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported during difficult times, and I aim to offer a therapeutic space where that can happen.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute initial conversation (by phone or Zoom) to see if therapy with me feels right for you. There’s no pressure or obligation, just a chance to connect, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work.

If this sounds like something you’d like to explore, please get in touch to arrange a time that suits you.
