About me and my therapy practice

Hello, thank you for taking the time to have a look at my profile.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by your thoughts or emotions and unsure where to turn? Perhaps you find yourself carrying worries, self-doubt, or painful experiences that feel difficult to talk about with the people around you. You might feel anxious, low in mood, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or simply in need of a space where you can be heard without judgement.

I offer a warm, supportive, and confidential counselling space where you can explore whatever is on your mind at your own pace. My approach is person-centred and integrative, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to sit alongside you with empathy, understanding, and respect as we explore the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that matter to you.

Do you ever feel that you have to be strong for everyone else? Or that no one else understands you or what you are going through? Counselling can provide a place where you don’t have to carry things alone. Together we can explore challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, or life transitions. I work with adults, young people, and couples, and I have experience supporting individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual trauma, depression, ADHD, and emotional difficulties. More than this, I understand. I have also experienced mental health difficulties in my life and can testify to how helpful talking therapy can be to moving through the hard times even when they can feel messy and complicated in the moment.

You might not know exactly what you want from counselling yet, and that is completely okay. Sometimes the first step is simply having a space to talk openly and feel understood.

If you are looking for a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where your voice matters, counselling can offer the opportunity for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

Practice description

In practice, I offer a calm, contained, and relational therapeutic space where clients can feel safe enough to explore their inner world. Sessions last 45–50 minutes and are held weekly where possible, allowing a sense of continuity, emotional safety, and gradual trust-building. When working with children, I provide a structured yet flexible environment with access to creative materials and play resources. Children are encouraged to choose how they work, and I follow their pace while maintaining clear boundaries that help them feel secure.

I aim for my practice to be inclusive and culturally sensitive. I recognise the impact of wider systems, discrimination, neurodiversity, and social pressures on mental health, and I hold space for these experiences with respect and curiosity. My commitment is to meet clients where they are, to support their strengths, and to provide a relationship that fosters safety, empowerment, and emotional growth.

My first session

I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation in the first instance of an enquiry, at a mutually agreeable time, so you can decide if you would like to work with me and if I can help you with your needs. We can discuss your aims for therapy, and I can answer any questions you may have. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, so finding the right counsellor is key.

I am based in Bexleyheath and Dartford and can also be flexible in accommodating online sessions.

I can offer sessions face-to-face or online or a combination of the two to suit you.

Sessions can be long or short term. I usually recommend at least six to allow a chance for the therapeutic work to begin. However, I will always be led by you. I will do regular reviews to ensure you feel I am working effectively with you.
