About me and my therapy practice
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck?
You might overthink conversations long after they鈥檝e ended, struggle with self-doubt, find it difficult to switch off, or wonder why everyday life seems to feel harder for you than it does for everyone else.
Perhaps you鈥檙e navigating a period of change 鈥 in your relationships, work, identity or during perimenopause and menopause 鈥 and no longer feel quite like yourself. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or questioning what you want from the next stage of your life.
Many of the people I work with have spent years putting themselves last, questioning their own worth or feeling as though they have to work harder just to feel 鈥済ood enough鈥. Together, we can take time to understand what鈥檚 happening, make sense of your experiences and explore what you need, rather than what you think you should be doing.
I support adults experiencing:
- Anxiety, overwhelm and burnout
- Low mood, low self-esteem and self-doubt
- Perimenopause, menopause and midlife changes
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Bereavement, grief and loss
- Trauma and the impact of difficult past experiences
- Work-related stress
- Identity, including race, culture, sexuality and gender
- Neurodiversity, including ADHD, late identification, masking and feeling different
I鈥檓 Fran, a 糖心官网-registered counsellor offering face-to-face counselling near Ludlow, Shropshire, and online counselling across the UK. I have a particular interest in supporting adults exploring neurodiversity, including ADHD, informed by additional specialist training through a Certificate in Adult ADHD.
My approach is warm, relational and tailored to you. Whether you鈥檙e facing a specific difficulty, going through a period of change, or simply want to understand yourself better, you don鈥檛 have to work it all out on your own.
If you think we might be a good fit, I鈥檇 be pleased to hear from you.

My first session
Our first session will be an assessment session. This gives us both the opportunity to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to counselling. I'll ask some questions about your current difficulties, personal history, relationships, physical and mental health, and any previous experiences of therapy. We'll also complete some brief wellbeing questionnaires to help us understand how you're feeling at the moment and provide a useful baseline for our work together.
This session also gives us the opportunity to consider whether I'm the right therapist for you and whether the support you're looking for falls within my areas of competence. Together, we'll discuss what you hope to gain from counselling and agree on the focus of our work, should we decide to continue. There is no obligation to commit to further sessions following the assessment.
