About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Amy, a fully qualified counsellor, with a passion for helping people with their mental health. I offer in-person sessions in the Solihull area and online or telephone sessions throughout the UK.
I understand that reaching out for support can be a daunting step and it's not always easy to know where to begin.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients, supporting them through various mental health problems and difficult life experiences, including:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Stress and Burnout
• Relationship Difficulties
• Trauma
• Adverse Childhood Experiences
• Neurodiversity
• Bereavement
Additionally, I have a special interest in helping adults understand how earlier life experiences, relationships, and emotional wounds can continue to influence how they think, feel, and relate to others today.
I also have an interest in supporting clients with Dyslexia, providing a therapeutic space that recognises and values different ways of thinking while addressing the emotional and practical challenges that can sometimes accompany dyslexia.
Practice description
With a compassionate and non-judgemental approach, I work collaboratively with clients to explore past experiences, current challenges, and future goals.
In sessions, I aim to provide a supportive space where you can explore your experiences, and talk openly about your thoughts and feelings.
Together, we’ll move at your pace to work through difficult emotions, identify unhelpful patterns and explore some practical strategies to support your mental health - with the goal to make changes that last.
I recognise that every person's experience is unique, so I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs
Sessions are 50 minutes long, and I hold regular reviews to make sure we are working on what is most important to you.
All topics and emotions are welcome - I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute phone call so you can ask questions, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see whether we feel like the right fit.
Finding the right counsellor is important. I aim to provide a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and able to talk openly at your own pace.
If you would like to know more about how I work or what to expect from counselling, please feel free to get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you.
