About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Kelly, I'm a qualified and experienced integrative, person-centred counsellor, I offer face-to-face and online counselling sessions.

In-person sessions are in St George, Bristol.

Sometimes life can feel difficult to navigate, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationships, low self-esteem, going through a period of change, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I offer a safe space where you can talk openly and honestly without fear of being judged. I believe that being truly listened to and understood can be the first step towards making positive change.

What will our sessions look like?

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy depending on what suits you, there is no set ‘structure’, we can go at your pace. I understand how daunting it can feel to start counselling and begin to share things you may not have spoken about before, and so building the relationship is key. It’s important that you feel valued and acknowledged and from there we can explore those issues or challenges that may have led to feeling stuck, anxious, or lost.

How long will our sessions last?

Counselling sessions last 50 minutes and we will review our sessions regularly together. There are no set number of sessions as this can change for everyone. Endings are considered an important part of therapy, and so we will gradually work towards a comfortable and suitable ending together.

Practice description

In our work together, I focus on building a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, valued, and understood. Rather than directing or advising you, I’ll be there alongside you to support you in  making sense of your inner world and discovering what feels right for you.

My approach is person-centred and integrative. Person-centred counselling is based on the idea that you are the expert in your own life. I won’t judge you, tell you what you should do, or make assumptions about your experiences.  I understand that counselling is not ‘one size fits all' and recognise that we are all individual and unique. I aim to adapt the work to best fit your needs and what you hope to achieve.

I have specific experience in supporting people affected by addiction, both those experiencing addiction themselves, and those who have been affected by someone else’s addiction. I understand how painful and complex these experiences can be and I offer a space to explore emotions, relationship boundaries and challenges that make come with them.

Alongside my experience with addiction, I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, self‑esteem issues, life transitions, and a general sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

Whether you're seeking support for a specific issue or simply wanting space to reflect, my practice is inclusive, open-minded, and welcoming to people from all walks of life.

My first session

I offer a 15-minute free, no-obligation phone call to discuss any concerns or answer any questions, this can be useful to see if I'm the right 'fit' for your needs.

Please feel free to reach out or email me to book your first session. I usually respond within 48 hours.
