About me and my therapy practice

Welcome! I’m Dyon, and I believe in the inherent capacity of every individual to grow and transform. My mission is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can confidently explore your inner self and face personal challenges. Based in the UK, I offer flexible online and remote counselling sessions designed to fit seamlessly into your schedule. While I recommend weekly sessions for the best continuity, I’m also happy to accommodate fortnightly sessions to meet your specific needs. Our work together will progress at your pace as we aim for meaningful, lasting change.

As your counsellor, my aim is to help you navigate life's challenges, deepen your self-awareness, and foster a sense of self-acceptance. Through a non-judgmental, compassionate approach, I provide a space where you can grow in your own time and on your own terms. If you’re ready to take the first step, we can create a tailored plan that honours your boundaries and addresses your personal goals.

Practice description

I take a calm, empathetic, and client-centred approach, empowering you to uncover your own solutions in a nurturing space. Together, we will set clear goals and craft a personalised treatment plan tailored to your unique situation, incorporating techniques like mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy. I am committed to respecting your comfort and working at a pace that feels right for you.

As your counsellor, my primary goal is to support you in navigating the complexities of life with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am here to guide you. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of criticism or pressure. Together, we will work towards fostering a deeper sense of self-awareness, helping you to better understand your emotions, behaviours, and patterns. Through this process, you will cultivate greater self-acceptance and develop the tools to make empowered decisions in your life. Our work will be collaborative, and at your pace, always respecting your boundaries and ensuring that you feel safe and supported as you progress. If you’re ready to begin this journey, we can create a personalised plan that aligns with your needs and long-term goals, fostering meaningful and lasting change.

My first session

I offer 30-minute introductory call offers a gentle and supportive space for us to get to know one another and explore whether my approach feels right for you. Beginning counselling can feel like a significant step, so this time is designed to feel relaxed, welcoming, and without any pressure.

You are very welcome to ask any questions, and to share as much or as little as feels comfortable about what has brought you to counselling, as well as what you may be hoping to gain from it. Together, we can begin to get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit for you.

There is no commitment following this call. Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process, and it's essential that you feel comfortable and supported in your choice.

As part of the call, we will also complete a brief initial assessment before any ongoing sessions begin. This helps me to understand your needs more fully and ensures I can support you safely and appropriately. We may gently explore areas such as your background, current concerns, and anything else you feel is important for me to be aware of.

Within the first full counselling session, we will work at your pace, in a way that feels comfortable and supportive for you. There is no set agenda to follow, and you won't be expected to talk about anything before you feel ready.

We can also use this time to begin building rapport, which forms an important foundation for our ongoing therapeutic relationship. Feeling safe, heard, and understood is central to the counselling process, and this initial session allows space for us to begin developing that connection.

Alongside this, we can start to explore what has brought you to counselling in more depth, as well as any goals you may have or what you might hope to gain from the process. The session also provides an opportunity to gently understand your experiences further, helping us to begin shaping the work in a way that feels meaningful and tailored to your needs moving forwards.
