About me and my therapy practice
Feel stuck? Overwhelmed? Or struggling whilst putting on a brave face?

You don't need to carry this alone.

I work with adults who are struggling to make sense of their situation. That might show itself through anxiety, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or a sense that life no longer feels quite right.
My approach is respectful, engaged and collaborative. I offer a calm space to explore what’s happening beneath the surface, helping you understand yourself more clearly and create meaningful change.

I'm a fully qualified Humanistic therapist with experience and additional training in working with men, anxiety, suicide support, bereavement and neurodiversity.
Practice description
My style is calm, respectful and engaged. I won’t simply sit back and nod. I aim to develop a collaborative, reflective and focused way of working which can help you understand patterns that may be keeping you feeling the way you do. Sometimes just having the space to express what you're going through can be enough to bring about a shift. At other times, having someone willing to be direct and honest can help highlight blind spots in thoughts or behaviors which may have gone unnoticed for years. Together, we look at what’s causing distress and work toward greater understanding, resilience and self-awareness.
Testimonial:
"From the very first session, Rhys created a space that felt genuinely safe. Not in a performative way, but in the kind of way that makes it easy for me to be honest with myself. He has an ability to hold space without judgment, offer both support and fresh perspectives that helped me see my situation differently without ever feeling pushed in a direction."
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for you to get a sense of what it might be like for us to work together. It also acts as an assessment, where I'll ask you a few questions about what's brought you to counselling, your past counselling experiences (if any), what you're hoping for from our time together, and also a chance for you to ask any questions you might have. So although this session is a little different to any future sessions, I hope you can still come away with a sense of whether this is a good fit for you.
There is free parking directly opposite the clinic if required and step free access.
