Availability

I offer sessions on a Monday and Thursday between 9am-7pm, and on a Friday from 9am-3pm. I can sometimes work out-with these times so do ask about options if that feels necessary.

Please also note that I do not work in the month of July so during this month there will be a break in sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a flexible, collaborative and dynamic way of working that adapts to you and what you bring to therapy. I am a Pluralistic therapist working both outdoors and online, to suit your needs. I can also work flexibly with both modes if you would like a mix of the two. My aim is to offer a safe and supportive space where you can explore difficulties and emotions, and gently process what is happening in both mind and body, helping to restore balance and a sense of contentment.

I have found that movement in sessions and walking alongside a client can be hugely powerful, particularly where someone has perhaps tried more traditional styles of counselling and struggles sitting in a room opposite a counsellor. For example, someone that struggles with emotional regulation can begin to notice it naturally occurring during a session, just through slowing their walking pace.

Practice description

For me, pluralism feels closely aligned with the natural world and the collaborative relationship between client and therapist, as well as with the wider world around us. The outdoor environment is ever-changing, much like we are. While some aspects of nature become familiar, others remain unpredictable, fragile, and powerful. Connecting with these qualities, and weaving them into the therapeutic process, can be an empowering and meaningful part of the work.

Sometimes being outdoors can feel more challenging, or not as accessible, which is why I also offer online/telephone counselling. This can either be a stand alone approach, or these sessions can be used to support eventually meeting outdoors, if this is something that would be helpful. Perhaps you feel particularly anxious being out of your home environment, or have become quite isolated and are looking for support to branch outside again - this is something we can work through together.

My first session

I offer a free initial consultation on the telephone or online, where we discuss what's brought you to therapy, and go through any concerns or questions, as well as assessing whether it feels like the right fit.

I then send a short form for you to fill out and we agree on a green space to meet that is local to you - or further afield depending on your preference and accessibility. We would then aim to meet at the same place and time every week. Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes long.
