About me and my therapy practice

Specialising in supporting children, teens and their families with skill, compassion and kindness

Laura is an experienced psychotherapist who works with children, adolescents, and families. She offers a calm, compassionate space where young people feel heard, understood, and supported.

She recognises that children and teenagers often communicate beyond words, and works flexibly using play, creativity, and conversation to help them explore their feelings at a safe pace. Her approach is grounded in child development, attachment, and an attuned understanding of the emotional worlds of young people.

Laura has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, including those with ADHD and autism. She works in a neuro‑affirming way, helping them understand themselves, manage overwhelming feelings, and navigate challenges at school, with friends, and at home. She also supports parents to better understand their child’s needs and feel more confident in how they respond.

She works with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, stress, low mood, emotional overwhelm, trauma, eating difficulties, self‑harm, and suicidal thoughts, as well as challenges in friendships, school, and family life. Laura is particularly skilled at supporting young people experiencing complex or intense distress, offering a steady, non‑judgemental space to process difficult feelings.

With over a decade of experience in therapeutic and educational settings, Laura draws on a range of evidence‑informed approaches, including attachment‑based, psychodynamic, cognitive‑behavioural, and trauma‑informed therapies, tailoring her work to the individual needs of each child and family.

Laura works with:

Children (4 - 11 years)

Adolescents (11 - 18 years)

Young Adults (18-21 years)

Families

Laura works in English and Mandarin
