About me and my therapy practice
I work with both children and young people and adults, offering a warm, person-centred space where you can feel truly heard. My approach is gentle but grounded, I believe that real change happens when someone feels safe enough to be themselves, without judgement.
With children and young people, I often draw on creative and play-based methods alongside talking therapy, adapting to whatever helps a young person express what’s going on for them. With adults, particularly those working through the impact of childhood experiences, I bring the same care and patience, recognising that healing isn’t linear, and that trust takes time to build.
I hold a CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People and I am ÌÇÐĹÙÍø accredited. I am also currently completing a BSc in Psychology with Counselling, reflecting my commitment to deepening my practice. Alongside my private work at Brighter Days Counselling, I also see clients through Hart Voluntary Action.
Wherever you are in your journey, I aim to meet you there with warmth, consistency, and genuine care.
Practice description
Brighter Days Counselling is a private practice based in Odiham, Hampshire, offering a calm, confidential space for children, young people, and adults. Whether you are a parent seeking support for your child, a young person navigating a difficult time, or an adult working through the effects of childhood trauma, you will find a practice built on trust, warmth, and respect.
Sessions are tailored to you, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach here. I take time to understand what you need and I adapt my style accordingly, whether that means creative techniques for a younger client or a steady, reflective space for an adult client processing longstanding experiences.
I offer flexible availability to fit around busy lives and I am happy to discuss any questions you have before committing to sessions. My aim is simple, to help you feel safer, calmer, and more able to move forward at your own pace.
My first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to meet and for you to get a feel for whether I am the right fit for you, There is no pressure and no obligation to continue if it does not feel right.
We will spend time talking through what’s brought you to counselling and I will ask some questions to understand your history and what you are hoping to get from our work together. This is also your chance to ask me anything about how I work, my experience, or what to expect from sessions.
For work with children and young people, I will usually also want to speak with a parent or carer beforehand, so we can agree together on the best way to support the young person.
There is no expectation to share more than feels comfortable in this first meeting. My priority is that you leave feeling at ease, and with a clearer sense of what our work together might look like.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome, I think counselling works best if we are a good match and I offer confidentiality and safety in order to explore what is going on for your at your pace. I treat every client exactly as I would wish myself to be treated.
It can be a lonely place when nobody can see what's happening on the inside and it takes enormous effort and energy to keep going and mask your true feelings to the rest of the world. If you are struggling to decide if counselling is for you then you have come to the right place.
Practice description
I share a passion for improving people's mental well-being and can work with clients to change their lives for the better. I am a fully qualified integrative Therapeutic Counsellor offering counselling to young adults(18-24), adults (25-64) and older adults (65+). I also hold a certificate of proficiency in online counselling.
I have been trained in a therapeutic approach called person centred or humanistic approach. This method of therapy is about harnessing the clients natural healing process. Using an Integrative approach is aimed at matching evidence-based treatments with each client’s particular needs. My hope is that we can work together so that you can feel accepted for what you are feeling and build in yourself a new strength and clarity of vision, to face the road ahead, stronger and more aware of yourself.
My first session
How to get a counselling session,
You can call to make an appointment for a 15-minute free initial assessment. Which gives you the opportunity to discuss your situation, from that we can see how we can best work together and discuss any important issues such as confidentiality. During this time I will ask to obtain your email to send you the counselling agreement and once that is read and signed we can proceed to booking you in for a counselling session.
You choose the weekly slot and time that suits you. Payment is required before the start of your session via bank transfer. You can pay per session or for 6 sessions up front.
Then the sessions will start, 50 minutes in length. I offer 6 sessions but we can review during future sessions.
