About me and my therapy practice

I support women through emotional challenges, self-doubt, and major life transitions.

I specialise in supporting women from faith-informed and culturally diverse backgrounds who may be feeling confused, emotionally overwhelmed or unsure of who they are becoming. If you’ve experienced trauma, abuse, depression or anxiety, you’re not alone and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

My approach is trauma informed.

I work using the Humanistic person-centred model of Psychotherapy, which means I work with the all parts of you.. I take time to listen and understand your world, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. If your beliefs or spirituality are important to you, they are welcome in our work together.

I’ve worked alongside clients in private practice, schools, mental health services, and community organisations.

I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can pause, reflect, and reconnect with your sense of self.

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel daunting, and I understand how difficult it can be to take that first step. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly at your own pace and feel genuinely heard. I offer telephone, video, and in person home visits for women.

My approach is grounded in Person-Centred Counselling, meaning I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing when offered acceptance, empathy and understanding. I work collaboratively with clients, recognising that you are the expert in your own life. Where appropriate, I also draw upon trauma-informed practice and psychoeducation to help make sense of emotional experiences.

I have experience supporting young people and adults with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, life transitions and emotional overwhelm.

I also understand that culture, family experiences, identity and faith can all shape how we experience life's challenges. If these are important to you, they can be explored sensitively within therapy, always at your choice.

My aim is to provide a safe, respectful and confidential space where you can gain greater self-awareness, develop healthier ways of coping and move towards the changes that matter most to you.

My first session

I will ensure your needs are met by going through a professional contract, explaining this to you according to the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø ethical framework.

I will also complete a contract in our first session which helps us understand our therapeutic relationship better, alongside some assessments with you to gauge your well-being levels.
