About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Michelle, and I am an integrative counsellor who offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My approach is flexible and tailored to you, drawing on different therapeutic models to best support your individual needs.

I work with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. I have experience supporting individuals who are neurodiverse, including those with ADHD and ASD. I have worked with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression and low mood; grief and loss; trauma; anger; domestic violence; and relationship and family difficulties.

I understand that reaching out for support can be challenging, and I aim to offer a warm, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I offer sessions online (via Zoom, Teams and WhatsApp), over the telephone, and face-to-face.

Practice description

I offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel heard, without judgement. Building trust is at the heart of my work, and I aim to help you feel comfortable being yourself. As an integrative counsellor, I tailor my approach to your individual needs, drawing on different methods to support you in a way that feels right for you. We can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your pace— whether you’re looking to process something difficult, find ways to cope, or better understand yourself. I work with adults, children, adolescents, couples and families, supporting a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I also work with neurodiverse clients, including ADHD and ASD, adapting sessions to suit your communication style. Sessions are available online, by telephone, or face-to-face, offering flexibility to fit around you. I’m here to support you in making sense of your experiences and finding a way forward that feels right for you

My first session

In our first session, we will begin by talking about why you came to counselling and what you would like to gain from it. This is an opportunity for you to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. I understand that beginning counselling can be intimidating, so I strive to establish a calm, inviting, and non-judgemental environment where you can feel comfortable. We will also discuss my work and confidentiality and answer any questions you may have.

Together, we can begin to explore your thoughts and feelings and consider what you might want from ongoing sessions. There is no pressure or expectation — the first session is also a chance for you to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.
