About me and my therapy practice
I believe that each person holds the capacity for emotional and psychological growth and the potential to move towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life. As an integrative counsellor, I aim to walk alongside you in this process, offering support, understanding, and gentle guidance.
My way of working is rooted in the belief that healing and growth emerge through a deeper understanding of ourselves, our experiences, and the patterns we develop over time. Through compassionate reflection, I support clients in exploring their inner world and strengthening their connection with their authentic self.
I recognise that each person’s experience is unique, and I value working in a way that is collaborative, respectful, and responsive to individual needs. My approach is grounded in person-centred principles, while also drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic thinking, and coaching perspectives. This allows for a flexible and holistic understanding of emotional difficulties and personal development.
Alongside this, I integrate systemic, somatic, and creative ways of understanding experience, which are informed by my ongoing training in these areas. This helps me consider not only thoughts and emotions but also the influence of the body, relationships, and broader life contexts in the therapeutic process.
At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship, which I see as central to meaningful change. I aim to offer a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can feel met as you are, at your own pace.
Practice description
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. I work with both young people and adults from diverse backgrounds, including those navigating relationship challenges, emotional distress, and periods of uncertainty or transition.
In our sessions, we may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships, including areas such as self-esteem, attachment-related difficulties, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and relational challenges. Together, we can begin to make sense of these experiences in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
Alongside this, I also incorporate coaching elements where helpful, which can support you in setting goals, building motivation, and moving towards change and future direction when you feel ready.
Therapy with me is not only about working through difficulties, but also about creating space for reflection, curiosity, and moments of lightness. I aim to work collaboratively, gently supporting awareness of patterns that may be unhelpful, while always respecting your pace and readiness.
Over time, this process can support greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself and others.
My first session
Before we begin working together, we will have a complimentary 15-minute initial conversation to explore your goals, current challenges, and what you are hoping for from therapy, as well as to see whether we feel like a good fit to work together. If we decide to continue, ongoing sessions are 50 minutes and are charged at £55.
I also offer a reduced fee for those currently in training, in recognition of the financial challenges that can sometimes be present when seeking personal therapy alongside study.
