I offer online therapy throughout the UK, providing a private and comfortable space where you can take time to reflect, explore your experiences and focus on yourself.
I understand that making time for therapy is not always easy alongside work, family and the demands of everyday life. To help therapy fit around your commitments, I offer appointments at a range of times, including evenings and weekends.
Although we meet online, I believe a genuine therapeutic relationship can develop wherever we are. Online therapy allows you to access support from a place where you feel comfortable and secure, while still creating a meaningful connection between therapist and client.
Sometimes having a dedicated space to pause, be heard and reconnect with yourself can be the beginning of profound change. My hope is that therapy provides an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply, develop greater self-compassion and move towards a life that feels more authentic, meaningful and connected.
About me and my therapy practice
Most people don’t begin therapy because something has suddenly gone wrong. More often, they arrive after months or years of quietly carrying things on their own.
Perhaps you have become exhausted by anxiety, overwhelmed by the demands of life, or troubled by patterns in your relationships that you don’t fully understand. Perhaps, from the outside, it looks as though you are coping, while privately feeling lonely, disconnected or unsure of yourself.
Sometimes there is a clear reason that brings someone to therapy. At other times, there is simply a feeling that something no longer feels right, perhaps a sense of being stuck, lost, or wanting to understand yourself more deeply.
One of the quiet difficulties of being human is that we can suffer in isolation. We often imagine that other people have somehow discovered the answers to life, while we are the only ones struggling with uncertainty, fear, loneliness or questions about who we are and where we are going. Yet beneath the surface, many people wrestle with remarkably similar experiences.
Therapy offers a place where those experiences no longer have to be carried alone.
I see therapy as a meeting between two human beings: two people sitting together and trying to understand something that has become difficult to hold by yourself. It is not about giving advice or trying to fix you. It is about creating a space where you can feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted. In our work together, you are always my primary focus.
I have also experienced therapy from the other side of the relationship, and I understand what it is like to take that first step into a space of uncertainty and vulnerability. This has deepened my respect for the courage it takes to seek support and continues to shape the way I work.
I believe meaningful change begins when we develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, our experiences and our relationships. From this place, we can begin to discover new choices and new ways of being.
Practice description
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you and your individual circumstances. Rather than expecting you to fit into a particular model of therapy, I believe therapy should adapt to you. Every person has their own story, their own struggles and their own way of making sense of the world.
The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I aim to create a space where you do not need to perform, pretend or have everything figured out. Therapy can involve difficult conversations and moments of challenge, but it should also feel like a place of compassion, curiosity and acceptance.
People come to therapy for many different reasons, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions and a desire to better understand themselves.
I have a particular interest in supporting people who feel disconnected from themselves, who have spent years carrying things alone, or who are struggling with experiences that have affected their sense of identity, confidence or relationships. This includes people who have experienced emotional abuse, difficult relationship dynamics or unhealthy relationship patterns that have left them feeling diminished, confused or disconnected from who they are.
Together, we can explore the experiences that have shaped you, the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and the possibilities available to you now. Sometimes this involves making sense of the past; sometimes it involves discovering new ways of relating to yourself and to others in the present.
I do not believe therapy is about becoming someone different. I believe it is about understanding yourself more deeply, recognising your strengths and creating the freedom to make choices that feel more aligned with who you truly are.
My first session
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and finding someone who feels like the right fit matters.
I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation, giving us the opportunity to briefly meet, talk about what has brought you to therapy and for you to get a sense of whether I might be the right therapist for you. There is no pressure or expectation to continue; it is simply an opportunity to ask questions, understand how I work and decide whether working together feels right.
If we decide to continue, our first full session is an opportunity for us to explore your experiences in more depth. We can discuss what has brought you to therapy, what you hope might change and how we can work together in a way that feels comfortable and meaningful for you.
You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or having everything figured out. Sometimes the hardest part is simply allowing yourself to begin.
My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, understood and a little less alone than when you arrived.
If something in my profile resonates with you, I would be very happy to hear from you.
