About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Rachel, and in a world full of over 8 billion people, I know just how easy it is to feel alone or overwhelmed. As an integrative, person-centred counsellor, I draw on different methods to suit your needs. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to offer a supportive, professional relationship, modelling healthy boundaries to help you reclaim your agency and feel confident in deciding your next steps.

I recognise you might feel awkward or sceptical, and I want to reassure you that therapy is a place where you can feel safe to express yourself. Within our sessions, you can share at your own pace. I will approach your experiences with confidence and respect and ensure our sessions feel safe and authentic.

I am a qualified counsellor with a BSc in Counselling and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (ÌÇÐĹÙÍø). I currently offer therapy online and by phone, or in person in Liverpool city centre (lift available; please note there are some steps, so the space is not wheelchair accessible).

I work with adults facing a variety of challenges, from anxiety and low mood to grief, relationship struggles, life transitions, and the impact of trauma, whether recent or past. I also offer neuroaffirming support for individuals with ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD. I will hold a non-judgmental and empathetic space for whatever is on your mind.

I understand that everyone comes with their own unique experiences, and that means therapy should be just as unique. If you’ve tried something before and it didn’t quite challenge you or wasn’t beneficial, we can explore that together. If there’s a particular approach that resonates with you, we can integrate it into our sessions. We’ll find a way forward that works for you.

My first session

If this is the first time you have sought help and you're unsure where to start, you can book a free 20-minute consultation call, and we can talk in confidence about what you’d like to get out of therapy, and if we can work together, there is no obligation.
