Availability
I currently have availability for new clients, with sessions offered online and in person in Peckham, South East London.
My working hours vary slightly depending on existing clinical commitments, but I usually offer appointments during:
- Weekday daytime
- Early evening hours
Availability can change, so please contact me to discuss current session times.
Where possible, I aim to offer a regular weekly appointment time, as this helps provide consistency and a clear frame for the therapy.
Fortnightly sessions may be considered where clinically appropriate, although weekly therapy is usually recommended when the work is more active, complex, or emotionally demanding.
If I am due to take planned leave, I will let clients know in advance and discuss any relevant arrangements as part of our work together.
If my practice is full when you enquire, I can let you know whether a suitable space is likely to become available or whether another service may be more appropriate.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer depth-oriented psychotherapy for adults who may appear to be coping on the outside while feeling anxious, depleted, self-critical, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck inside.
My work is integrative, drawing on:
- Psychodynamic psychotherapy
- DBT-informed skills
- Somatic awareness
- A structured focus on agency
This means therapy is not only about talking through what has happened. It is also about understanding repeating patterns, regulating difficult emotional states, and developing more choice in how you relate to yourself, others, and your life.
In sessions, we may explore how earlier experiences, attachment patterns, trauma, grief, shame, family dynamics, or relationship difficulties continue to shape the present.
We may also pay attention to how distress is held in the body, how emotions escalate or shut down, and what helps you return to a more regulated state.
Alongside insight and emotional awareness, I support practical change. This may include boundaries, communication, decision-making, values, self-trust, and the capacity to act differently rather than repeat old patterns.
I am the founder of the Open Mind Method, an evidence-informed framework organised around three areas:
- Psyche — the past, meaning, and patterns that have shaped you
- Soma — the present body, nervous system, and emotional regulation
- Agency — choice, responsibility, boundaries, and conscious change
I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels clinically appropriate. Therapy can be open-ended, longer-term, or focused around a particular issue, depending on what you are looking for and what we agree together.
Practice description
Open Mind Therapy is a private psychotherapy practice offering online sessions and in-person appointments in Peckham, South East London.
The practice is designed for adults seeking a steady, reflective space to work through difficulties with care, structure, and clinical thoughtfulness.
You may be coming with:
- A clear concern you want to address
- A less defined sense that something no longer feels right
- Difficulties in relationships, work, identity, or emotional life
- A wish to understand yourself more deeply
Clients can expect a calm and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a space where difficult material can be approached without pressure, while still keeping the work purposeful and connected to everyday life.
The practice is grounded in:
- Professional boundaries
- Confidentiality
- Regular supervision
- Ethical practice in line with ÌÇÐĹÙÍø standards
- Careful attention to pacing, risk, suitability, and endings
Sessions are available in English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and Portuguese.
I welcome enquiries from people from different backgrounds, identities, cultures, and life experiences.
After an initial assessment, we can decide together whether open-ended therapy, longer-term work, or a more focused piece of therapy is most appropriate.
My first session
The first session is usually a 90-minute initial assessment, charged at £150.
This gives us more time than a standard session to understand:
- What has brought you to therapy
- What you are hoping for
- Whether my way of working feels like the right fit
- What kind of therapeutic work may be most appropriate
It is also a space for you to ask questions and get a clearer sense of how therapy with me would be structured.
Before the first session, I may ask you to complete some basic information and consent forms. These cover practical details such as:
- Contact information
- Confidentiality
- Fees and cancellation policy
- Risk and emergency contact arrangements
During the assessment, we may talk about your current difficulties, relevant personal history, relationships, emotional patterns, previous therapy, health background, risk, and what you would like to change or understand more deeply.
The assessment is not a commitment to continue. It is a careful first step where we can both consider suitability, pacing, and whether the therapeutic relationship feels clinically appropriate.
If we decide to continue, we will agree a regular session time, fee, frequency, and therapeutic focus.
