Availability
I offer both online and in-person therapy sessions throughout the week, from Sunday to Friday, with daytime and evening appointments available. I have recently expanded my practice and currently have availability for new clients. Please get in touch if you would like to enquire about current availability.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, and it’s important you find a therapist that is right for you. You’re welcome to get in touch for a free 20-minute introductory call to ask any questions you may have, I can share a little more about my approach, and this gives a chance for you to feel how it might be to work with me.
There’s no obligation to continue after this. What matters most is that you find a therapist who you feel is best placed to support you on this journey.
About me and my therapy practice
Every person comes to therapy with their own unique experiences and challenges. It is important that therapy offers a space that adapts to your needs. As an integrative therapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, allowing us to focus on what feels most important to you and what you hope to achieve.
You may be experiencing anxiety, isolation, lowness, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, the impact of trauma, have questions around identity and self-worth, or other challenges that are affecting your wellbeing. You may also be looking to better understand yourself, your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, or patterns of coping. Whatever has brought you to therapy, we can work at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is grounded in person-centred principles. At the centre of this is the belief that meaningful change can develop through a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, accepted and understood. I aim to provide a space where these qualities remain at the centre of our work together.
I have consistently observed that emotional distress and the ways we learn to cope often have understandable roots within our relationships and life experiences. Therapy can offer an opportunity to explore these experiences with greater awareness, acceptance and self-compassion, supporting you to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Practice description
I began my career in frontline safeguarding roles, supporting individuals with complex and diverse needs, including several years working in homeless services. These roles taught me the genuine impact of human connection and what can happen when people are given the space to be heard and believed in.
Alongside this professional experience, I have also faced my own challenges with mental health in the past. These experiences played an important role in my decision to become a therapist and continue to shape the way I approach my work. I am deeply motivated by the resilience and inner strength I see in people, even in the most challenging situations.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist and completed my Master's degree with distinction. Through my training and clinical experience, I have supported people experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, the impacts of trauma, addiction, low self-worth, identity issues, bereavement and relationship difficulties.
The approaches I draw from include Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based approaches.
My first session
The first session we have is designed to help you feel at ease in the process and for us to begin developing a therapeutic relationship together. Although there is no set structure to this session, below is a general outline for how this may look:
Get a feel for how sessions work
Together, we can explore what therapy might look like for you and start creating an environment where you feel comfortable and supported.
Discuss practicalities
We can establish a working agreement that covers the structure of sessions, your expectations, and any questions you may have. This can also include setting review points, so that our time together stays meaningful and supportive for you.
Explore what brings you to therapy
If you feel comfortable, you can begin sharing what has led you to seek therapy and how it may be affecting your life. There’s no pressure here , I will be led by what feels right for you.
Consider goals and expectations
If you have specific goals, we can begin to explore these. If you’re unsure, that’s completely okay — we can focus simply on what feels most important in the moment.
Plan how to move forward
As an integrative therapist, I draw from different approaches depending on what feels helpful for you. Together, we can start to consider the ways forward that might best support your needs and experience.
