About me and my therapy practice
I work as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with a deep respect for the complexity of inner life, unconscious process, and the many ways people make meaning of their experiences. My approach is grounded in attentive listening, curiosity, and a belief that symptoms, patterns, and relational difficulties often carry important emotional truths that can become understood over time. I aim to offer a thoughtful, consistent, and non-judgemental space in which you can speak freely and begin to explore what lies beneath surface distress.
My work is informed by psychoanalytic thinking, which means I pay close attention not only to what is said, but also to what may be communicated indirectly through repetition, silence, feeling, dreams, bodily experience, and relationship patterns. I am interested in how earlier experiences, unconscious conflicts, and internalised relationships continue to shape present-day emotional life. In therapy, I try to help create the conditions for reflection, insight, and change that emerge at a pace that feels right for each person.
Practice description
A distinctive aspect of my practice is my openness to spirituality as a meaningful dimension of human experience. For some people, spirituality is connected to faith, religion, meditation, ritual, nature, or a sense of connection to something larger than the self. For others, it may be more personal, private, or difficult to define. I welcome exploration of spiritual life in whatever form it takes for you, and I approach this area with sensitivity, respect, and without assumption. I recognise that spirituality can be a source of comfort, identity, struggle, longing, or transformation, and it may be deeply intertwined with emotional suffering and healing.
I believe psychotherapy can offer a space where spiritual questions are held seriously alongside psychological ones. This may include exploring experiences of loss, meaning, guilt, hope, belonging, creativity, emptiness, transcendence, or inner conflict. At times, spiritual life may help a person feel grounded and connected; at other times, it may be a site of confusion or distress. I work carefully with these experiences, aiming to support greater understanding rather than impose interpretation.
In my practice, I value authenticity, patience, and depth. I do not offer quick fixes, but rather a process of thoughtful engagement in which patterns can unfold and be understood. I see therapy as a collaborative relationship in which the quality of the therapeutic encounter itself becomes part of the work. Over time, this can help people develop a stronger sense of self, greater emotional freedom, and a more integrated relationship with both the conscious and unconscious aspects of their lives.

We all have times in our lives, when we can find ourselves in need of additional support. It can sometimes be a struggle to cope with thoughts and feelings. These could be feelings of anxiousness, depression or struggling with trauma or loss.
Or it could be that you just feel struck in life and know that something needs to change but you are unaware what that might be or how to do it.
Practice description

Psychodynamic Therapy explores both past and present experiences and how these can influence our present life and relationships. I can help you to understand why you do the things the way you do, think the way you think, feel the way you feel.
I provide a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can unpack whatever might be troubling you and we can look at it together.
Everyone’s journey is unique and the therapy I offer is therefore tailored to your needs. I can’t say exactly what the outcomes of therapy will be for you because the process is different for everyone.
The aim is to support you to achieve meaningful change in your life, whether that’s in your thinking, feelings or behaviours (or all three). If you feel this is the right time for you, then contact me and take the first step.
My first session
ÌÇÐĹÙÍø
I offer a brief initial phone call where you can ask questions about the therapy I offer. This is not a counselling session,
It gives you the opportunity to ask any questions or concerns you might have about starting therapy.
Sometimes it can feel quite daunting to take that first step, but worth it.
