About me and my therapy practice

As an experienced trauma-informed integrative counsellor, I will trust your inner capacity for healing, growth, and self-understanding. I offer a space where all parts of you, including the weird and wonderful, are fully welcomed and accepted.

I am passionate about supporting people to reconnect with their sense of self, agency, renewed confidence and inner strength, and I will hold that possibility throughout our work together.

My work is grounded in a practical person-centred approach, meaning our sessions are guided by your individual needs, experiences, and what feels most meaningful to you. Where helpful, I may also integrate other therapeutic approaches collaboratively to support the work we do together.

I have worked with a vibrant cross section of people with multi layered sometimes complex needs from different backgrounds, genders, religions, ethnicities and neurodivergences including Autism and ADHD. Whoever you are you are most welcome to get in touch for a brief introduction call and we can decide if what I offer is suitable for you, and whether working together is a match.

Practice description

Taking the first step towards counselling or psychotherapy can feel daunting, but it is also an act of courage.

Perhaps you are currently experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, self-doubt, loss, overwhelm, trauma, emotional exhaustion, disconnection, or a sense that life has lost meaning, or something else personal and difficult to carry alone.

Both personally and professionally, I have experienced how powerful therapy can be. We all deserve the freedom to be supported to know our potential and live that potential.

My aim is to support your ability to thrive not simply survive in your life - life is short and I do not believe we need to accept coping only. This includes facilitating your own self discovery with curiosity about what your needs are, perhaps learning ways to deepen your sense of peace and relaxation in life, as you move towards living a resilient life more aligned with your values and authenticity.

My first session

Some clients prefer to have an introductory call first to take time to decide and find out about how I work or ask any questions, others book straight away.

In the first session, we will take the time to go through a necessary contract to outline the boundaries of the working relationship. I may also ask you to complete a brief initial details form where I collect necessary contact details and medical history.

Depending on the situation a further assessment may be required to ensure that I can give you the support you may need.
