About me and my therapy practice
My name is Sam, a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø registered counsellor trained in Humanistic and Integrative therapy. I encourage client sessions to be Face-to-Face, but if not possible, then I believe online or telephone counselling can also be equally effective for many clients.
Alongside my private practice, I work at my local hospice with bereaved clients and clients facing life limiting illnesses. I am also part of a team at a local low cost counselling service, making support accessible to more people in the community.
I have experience working with teenagers, having previously worked at a sixth form college supporting young people with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and self-esteem issues. I aim to help clients make sense of unhealthy coping patterns while exploring alternatives that feel more supportive.
Making the decision to begin counselling is I believe, a significant step - a first move to becoming unstuck and to understanding feelings, experiences and challenges that life invariably brings. Through an honest, empathic, and non-judgemental relationship, counselling can facilitate real internal shifts, allowing room for new ways of thinking and being. My role is simply to support you, and move at your pace, as you decide the direction in which you would like your life to take and discover new ways of experiencing it.
