About me and my therapy practice

â€˜You are the Greatest Project You Will Ever Work On’

As a humanistic integrative counsellor I offer a safe, empathic, non-judgemental space for you to explore the challenges life presents you with.

The therapeutic relationship I can provide you is a confidential space where you can speak openly and honestly, free from fear of judgement or concern about the impact on others, something that often feels different from talking with friends or family.

I bring over two decades of experience working within various helping professions, using a person-centred approach to support children, young people, and adults. My personal experiences, combined with my professional background, have led me to the vocation of becoming a qualified counsellor.

Drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, I tailor each counselling experience to meet your unique needs, ensuring a personalised and supportive counselling journey.

I am qualified as a Humanistic counsellor, specifically trained in Person-centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural therapeutic approaches.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an inclusive and affirming relationship counsellor working with individuals, couples and partners experiencing relationship difficulties.

I offer a a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space where all identities, backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, cultures, faiths and relationship styles are welcomed and valued.

As an integrative relationship counsellor I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to collaboratively explore and support clients work through the challenges they are experiencing in their relationships.

I provide a supportive and impartial space for each partner to be heard. My role is not to take sides or determine who is right or wrong, but to help you explore patterns within your relationship, improve communication, deepen understanding and work towards positive change. Together we can identify strengths, address areas of difficulty, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another.

Practice description

I support clients experiencing relationship difficulties, communication challenges, conflict, intimacy concerns, life transitions, family issues, separation, loss and exploration.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the individual needs of the relationship, helping you explore challenges, strengthen connections, and move towards the changes that matter to you.

I believe that every client deserves to feel heard, valued and accepted. Working at your pace, I will support you in developing greater self-awareness, strengthening relationships, navigating challenges, and creating meaningful change in line with your values and beliefs.

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally sensitive, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique lived experience.

I recognise that relationships exist within the wider social, cultural and systemic contexts, and I aim to work in a way that honours diversity and promotes equity, inclusion and understanding.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to what has brought you to seek relationship counselling and explore what you hope to gain from the sessions.

I will invite each partner to share their perspectives and experiences in a respectful and balanced way, considering what you would like to achieve, whilst building a safe, supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

There is no expectation to share everything at once, we will work at a pace that feels right for you.
