About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Zoe, an integrative therapist offering a space that is steady, reflective and unhurried, where you can begin to make sense of what feels difficult, confusing or too much to hold alone.

I’m deeply interested in how people relate to themselves, others and the world, and how early experiences can shape our thoughts, feelings and behaviour in the present. Much of my work focuses on helping these patterns become more understandable, so they feel less automatic and more open to reflection and choice.

Before starting private practice, I worked within community counselling services in Greenwich and Lewisham, supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, complex relationships and difficult life transitions.

Alongside my work as a therapist, I also work in a management role within the performing arts sector. This has given me insight into creative and people-focused environments, where passion and pressure can often sit closely together.

Practice description

I have experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, low self-esteem, trauma, loss, identity exploration, neurodiversity, and the emotional impact of physical health conditions.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in compassionate curiosity. Rather than seeing thoughts, emotions, or patterns as things to fix, we will explore them together with care and attention, often discovering that what once felt frustrating or confusing can begin to make more sense when understood in context.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from person-centred, psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches, working in a way that is guided by your needs and what will be most helpful for you. Some sessions may feel more reflective and exploratory, while in others we may focus on practical support and exercises.

My first session

Initial conversation

I offer a 20 minute initial conversation free of charge. This is an opportunity for us to talk about your concerns and how we might work together. It is a chance for you to ask questions so that you can make a decision if you want to work together. We will likely meet online for this session even if you are looking to work face to face.

Therapy sessions are are 50 minutes long. Weekly or fortnightly sessions are available; session frequency is something we can discuss and agree together.

First Session

Your first session will be a chance to tell me about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process in more depth. We can think together about what feels important, where to start, and how you would like to use the space.

On-going sessions

Future sessions will often be guided by you and what feels most present or meaningful at the time. Alongside this, I will reflect on what we discuss and may bring attention to patterns, themes, or areas that feel important to explore further.

As therapy develops, I will regularly check in about how the process feels for you, making space to think together about what is helpful and whether anything needs to shift in our work.
