About me and my therapy practice

Welcome,

As an integrative counsellor and wellness coach, I support adults who often feel like they’re holding everything together for everyone else - work, family, or relationships - while quietly feeling overwhelmed themselves, struggling with difficult feelings while forcing themselves to carry on.

Many appear capable and coping on the outside, yet privately struggle with anxiety, stress, burnout, overwhelm, self-criticism, or the pressure of keeping everything together.

You may be used to supporting others but rarely give yourself the same space and care.

I’ve been there myself, and I know how hard it can be to see a way forward when you’re in the thick of it. Many people feel they’re the only one struggling behind closed doors. It can feel isolating, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

Counselling offers a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and explore what may lie beneath the surface. Together, we can work towards a healthier, more manageable way of being and improved emotional wellbeing.

You may be new to counselling or looking for a different experience. You’re welcome to begin with a single session if you’re unsure whether counselling is right for you at this time, or if you’re not yet ready to commit to regular sessions.

We can work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating a space where you feel safe to explore whatever you’re going through.

I offer a warm, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, low self-esteem, or simply want space to reflect and grow, I’m here to listen and support you.

I have experience working in private practice, within a charity supporting adults, children, and young people, and through workplace therapy schemes, including support with work-related stress.

Practice description

I offer integrative counselling, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to your individual needs, experiences, and goals. This allows us to work flexibly, at a pace that feels right for you.

Sessions provide a consistent, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings in more depth, gain insight, and begin to make sense of your experiences. We may gently explore patterns, beliefs, and behaviours that could be contributing to how you feel, supporting greater self-awareness and understanding.

I work in a collaborative and supportive way, adapting our sessions to what feels most helpful for you. Whether you are looking for short-term support around a specific issue or longer-term work to explore things more deeply, we can shape the process together.

Alongside talking therapy, I may draw on wellness coaching tools where appropriate to support your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing in everyday life.

I offer both short - and long-term counselling, with sessions available throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.

If calling feels too difficult to begin with, you’re welcome to contact me by email or message.

My voicemail is confidential, so you’re safe to leave a message. Please let me know if I can leave a voicemail for you when returning your call.

*Online sessions come with lots of benefits - they’re flexible, convenient, and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own space. Saving you the time, energy, and cost of travelling, while making sessions accessible, no matter where you are in the country.

My first session

Your first session is a chance to explore what has brought you to counselling and begin addressing the challenges you’re facing.

Many people feel anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed before starting therapy - this session is designed to help you feel supported from your very first appointment.

We’ll discuss your goals, explore what’s challenging you, and start identifying strategies to help you manage stress, anxiety, or other difficulties. You’ll leave the session with understanding, clarity, and practical tools you can begin using right away.

This session also gives you a chance to ask questions, discuss how we will work together, and decide if it feels like the right fit. It’s not a formal assessment - it’s a consultation designed to benefit you immediately and plan the next steps together.

Many clients tell me they felt supported and understood from the very first session, and that it gave them confidence to take the next steps.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Louise, a ÌÇÐĹÙÍø registered counsellor and wellness coach offering support to adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, and the pressures of everyday life.

Many of the people I work with appear to be coping on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or under strain.

You may be balancing work, family, and other responsibilities, yet rarely find space for yourself. I’ve been there myself and I know how hard it can be to see a way out when you are in the thick of it. Many people feel they’re the only one feeling this way, struggling behind closed doors. You’re not alone - and you don’t have to go through it on your own.

Counselling offers a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and explore what may be beneath the surface. Together, we can work towards a healthier, more manageable way of being.

You might be new to counselling, or looking for a different experience. You’re welcome to begin with a single session if you’re unsure, or work together more regularly if that feels right for you.

My approach is warm, practical, and tailored to you. Together we’ll explore what’s happening for you, help you feel supported, and build strategies to make everyday life feel more manageable.

I have experience working in private practice, within a charity supporting adults, children, and young people, and through workplace therapy schemes. I offer both short- and long-term counselling, with evening and weekend availability.

I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call so we can see whether working together feels like a good fit.

As a registered member of the ÌÇÐĹÙÍø, I work within their ethical framework and undertake ongoing professional development to ensure safe and effective practice.

Please note: my phone is usually on silent. If I’m unable to answer, please leave a message or send a text/email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
