About me and my therapy practice
About me and my work
Hi,
I’m Dilya, a qualified counsellor based in London. I offer counselling services both online and in-person, with locations in Central London and Beckenham (South East London).
I specialise in supporting individuals through significant identity changes, such as parenthood, pregnancy, immigration, marriage, divorce, and LGBTQIA+ identity. Within these themes, I work through challenges incl. fertility journeys, miscarriage, termination, LGBTQIA+ issues incl. parenting, coming out, loss of meaning, mixed ethnicity, 'third country kid', assimilation struggles, feeling excluded, spirituality and loneliness. These difficulties may manifest in anxiety, loss of sleep, depression, burnout, and loss of meaning and connection.
My integrative, holistic approach combines Psychosynthesis and mindfulness to support those facing anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, loneliness, grief, or emotional overwhelm. In a safe, non-judgmental space, we explore your thoughts and feelings, reconnect with purpose, and nurture self-awareness.
No matter what you’re going through—whether it’s a major life transition or a desire for personal growth—I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Together, we’ll explore your challenges and create a path toward healing, deeper self-understanding, and the inner peace that comes from alignment with your true self.
Services Offered:
• One-to-one therapy sessions (available both in-person and online)

About me and my therapy practice
I am a therapist who values harmony, balance, and authentic human connection. I am naturally introverted, reflective, and deeply thoughtful, with a strong sense of empathy, warmth, and compassion.
I am fascinated by the wisdom of nature and by human potential — particularly our capacity for self-healing, self-awareness, and self-realisation in an ever-evolving world.
In my therapeutic work, I work with people seeking meaning, resolution, and greater connection to their inner self or the world around. My clients come with a variety of challenges, be it self-acceptance and confidence, anxiety and depression, or feeling excluded due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, or life choices. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, parents, immigrants, and refugees. My experience extends to those suffering with mental health challenges due to their childhood or present experiences, burnout due to work or family life, and other life challenges.
I offer a calm, grounded, and affirming presence while also gently challenging clients when appropriate to support growth and deeper understanding. I sometimes integrate mindfulness exercises and other therapeutic tools to help with anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional regulation. However, my work is primarily relational at its core.
I believe that healing happens through a trustworthy, safe, and genuine therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, supported, and accepted
Practice description
This will be your space, dedicated to supporting you through talking therapy, meditation, reflection, or any other ways to reach a point of resolve.
We will use our sessions in a way that best supports you and the challenges you may be facing in your life. We will begin with a couple of introductory sessions to explore your background, current experiences, and the key difficulties or themes you would like support with. From there, we will work together at a pace and in a style that feels right for you and your individual needs.
My psychosynthesis training allows me to work flexibly and adapt the therapeutic process to each person. Sessions may at times be more structured and intentional, while at other times they may be guided by what is emerging in the present moment, including insights, feelings, or experiences you wish to explore.
Above all, I aim to create a safe, collaborative, and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered in your process.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to counselling. I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, so I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly at your own pace. During this session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking counselling, any goals you may have, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I will explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and discuss confidentiality and its limitations. Together, we will consider whether we feel we can work well together and how counselling can best support your needs moving forward.
