About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Jill. I’m a neuro-affirming integrative therapist and therapeutic ADHD coach.

I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, low, or as though life has become too hard to keep carrying in the same way. Many of the people I work with are neurodivergent, wondering whether they may be ADHD or autistic, or trying to make sense of themselves after years of feeling they should somehow be managing better.

Therapy can offer a place to pause, offload what you have been holding, and begin to understand yourself more clearly. We may work directly with ADHD, autism or neurodivergence, or this may sit in the background while we focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, relationships, identity, self-worth, or the impact of trying to fit into expectations that were never designed with you in mind.

My approach is holistic and collaborative. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of approaches rather than expecting one model to fit everyone. My work is particularly informed by psychodynamic thinking, Internal Family Systems, parts work, somatic approaches and nervous system regulation. As a coach, I can also help you think practically about your energy, relationships, routines, work, boundaries, and what life might look like when it is built around your actual needs.

I am not here to lead you through a set of generic strategies. I see therapeutic coaching as a process of coming back to yourself: making sense of your story, understanding your patterns, meeting yourself with more honesty and compassion, and creating the conditions that help you live with more clarity, capacity and inner harmony.

Before becoming a therapist and coach, I spent many years working in education, including leadership roles in inclusion, safeguarding and wellbeing. That background shapes the way I work.

Therapy with me is thoughtful, warm and down-to-earth. You do not need to arrive with everything neatly explained. We can start exactly where you are.

Practice description

I work exclusively online which I find works really well because I can work with clients in any geographical location. It also means that you can be comfortable in whichever environment suits you best for our sessions - a number of my clients have their pets for comfort as we talk!

I'm always keen to be as flexible as possible with moving and timing sessions as I think this works best for neurodivergent people in particular, as well as fitting around the busy lives we all lead. My personal style is warm and quite informal so people feel at ease quickly, I never want clients to worry about anything such as asking questions or rearranging sessions.

My first session

Before engaging in work together I have a no-obligation introductory Zoom call which may last anywhere up to 30 mins to check that we're the right fit for each other.

Prior to our first session I will send out an intake form with some basic background questions and a contract/working agreement that we can talk through in our first session.
