About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Jocelyn.
I’m an integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and osteopath with over 20 years’ experience in body–mind health.
I help adults understand and change the emotional, relationship and nervous system patterns that keep them feeling stuck. Clients often come to me when they are overthinking, people-pleasing, feeling burnt out, struggling with self-trust or finding themselves repeating the same relationship dynamics.
My approach is warm, collaborative and practical. I draw on integrative counselling, transactional analysis, attachment-informed work, nervous system regulation and body-based awareness to help you make sense of your responses and create steadier, healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
Practice description
My practice is built around helping you understand the patterns that keep showing up in your life, relationships and nervous system.
You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, stuck in overthinking, or unsure why you keep responding in ways that do not feel like the real you. You may also notice repeated relationship dynamics, people-pleasing, self-doubt, difficulty setting boundaries or a sense that your body is carrying stress long after the situation has passed.
I work integratively, drawing on person-centred therapy, transactional analysis, attachment-informed work, psychodynamic thinking, nervous system regulation and body-based awareness. This allows us to explore both the emotional story and the physical responses that may be keeping old patterns alive.
Sessions are collaborative and gently structured where helpful. Together, we can make sense of your experiences, strengthen self-trust, and develop steadier ways of relating to yourself and others.
Many clients tell me they know what they should do but struggle to understand why they keep reacting in ways that don't match their intentions. Together, we explore those patterns with curiosity rather than judgement.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to be different in your life, relationships or wellbeing.
Many people arrive feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck in recurring patterns, or unsure why they keep responding in ways that no longer serve them. Together, we will begin making sense of what is happening beneath the surface and identify what you would like to work towards.
I will ask some questions about your current circumstances, relevant life experiences, relationships and any previous therapy. This helps me build a picture of your unique situation so we can decide on the most helpful way forward.
There is no pressure to commit beyond the first session. My aim is to provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can decide whether my approach feels like the right fit for you.
