About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 a 糖心官网-registered integrative counsellor offering a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly and feel heard, without fear of judgment. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, past trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and navigating neurodiversity.

My approach is rooted in person-centred values, which means I work alongside you with empathy, respect, and genuine care. You won鈥檛 be judged or pushed, sessions move at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you. At the same time, I work integratively, drawing on other therapeutic approaches where helpful, to support understanding, emotional wellbeing, and practical change.

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to you, rather than following a fixed model. Some people I work with appear 鈥渇ine鈥 on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck in their thoughts, or disconnected internally. Others simply need space to talk things through and feel understood.

I have a particular interest in men鈥檚 mental health and in working with people from diverse backgrounds, including communities where therapy isn鈥檛 always openly talked about. I understand that opening up can feel difficult, and you don鈥檛 have to have everything figured out before starting.

I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling, with sessions available in person and online, depending on what works best for you.

If you鈥檙e considering therapy, you鈥檙e welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation - no pressure.

Practice description

My practice offers a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace. I provide one-to-one counselling for adults and young adults, both in person and online, depending on what works best for you.

I work integratively, with a strong foundation in person-centred values. This means our work together is led by your needs rather than a fixed agenda. Sessions focus on what feels most important to you 鈥 whether that鈥檚 making sense of past experiences, managing present challenges, or finding clarity about what comes next.

People often come to me with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or a general sense of feeling overwhelmed. I also have a particular interest in men鈥檚 mental health and in providing culturally sensitive therapy, especially for those who may not have felt therapy was for them before.

In our sessions, you can expect a respectful, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard and accepted. My aim is to help you feel more grounded, more connected to yourself, and better able to face life with clarity and confidence.

My first session

Before booking a full session, I offer a free 15-minute consultation by phone or video call. This gives us a chance to briefly connect, talk about what you鈥檙e looking for, and see whether I鈥檓 the right fit to support you. There鈥檚 no obligation 鈥 just space to ask questions and get a feel for how I work.

If you decide to move forward, the first full session allows us to explore things in more depth. I鈥檒l invite you to share what鈥檚 brought you to therapy and what you鈥檇 like to focus on, but there鈥檚 no pressure. We鈥檒l move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I鈥檒l also explain how I work, cover practicalities such as confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have.

Where helpful, I may suggest simple wellbeing questionnaires to support our understanding of how anxiety, low mood, or other concerns are affecting you day to day. These are always optional and only used if they feel useful for your therapy.

The first full session is charged at my standard rate. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on your needs and what feels most appropriate.
