About me and my therapy practice
Hi! My name is Rasa (she/her). I am an Adlerian counsellor offering support to people from queer community and it's allies.
I offer an authentic space where we meet together to talk about, experience your issues together and find solutions that work for you.
With experience of supporting queer people from various intersections and diverse backgrounds I bring an understanding and open mindedness to issues that you may be facing. That said, no two people are the same - therefore in my work through the idea of holism and individuality, which honours all of you and acknowledges all aspects of your life as unique, honing on strengths from each.
Practice description
Perhaps you are looking for someone to truly see you, to understand your unique experience that so often intersects with race, culture, physical ability, financial situation and other aspects of life.
Perhaps you are looking for ways to reconnect with yourself and others in a way that feels more authentic to you. In a world full hatred you may be left feeling lost as to where to go next, with deep wounds from the past and fears for the present and future. It may be hard to see the light and positive in the midst of day to day struggle.
Our work together will involve looking at your past and present life situation and how you'd like to move into the future. The sessions are largely collaborative with lots of various forms of creativity involved.
I may also encourage you to connect to yourself more deeply through visualisation, body scan, compassionate dialogue.
As a result of our work together you may gain more clarity and understanding of yourself and your strengths. Develop stronger, more authentic relationships with others. You may also feel more courage to tackle your issues and look forward to the future.
My first session
During our first session we will look at 4 areas of your life and how you feel in those areas. Some find it useful to give it a score 1-10,some prefer to just name it in words. The areas are :
1. How you feel about yourself.
2. How do you feel about your friendships and your connection to your social life.
3. How you see your intimate life and romantic relationships.
4. How you feel about your work and/or occupation.
