About me and my therapy practice

I am a Humanistic therapist working online with adults. You may be coming to counselling with clear goals, or with a quieter sense that something no longer feels sustainable or aligned. I offer a calm and confidential space where there is room to slow down and explore what is really going on.

Practice description

As a humanistic therapist, I work with your present experience, your thoughts, emotions and relationships, while holding in mind how earlier life experiences may continue to shape your responses today.

My role is not to pass judgment or make decisions for you. We will work together to explore your thoughts, sensations and emotional responses. Noticing stories and patterns as they arise. Not denying, dismissing, or discarding them, but looking at them in a different way.

Through my work, I have found that people seek therapy for various reasons; all are equally valid and important. Together, we'll explore how you want things to be different and create jointly agreed goals to guide your progress toward positive change.

I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of different presentations. You might find it helpful in identifying what kind of support you are seeking.

Areas I work with include:

Anxiety

Feelings of overwhelm

Depression and hopelessness

Low self-esteem

Difficulties in Relationships (this is often with family, friends or partners)

Societal pressures

ADHD-related overwhelm

Grief and loss

The impact of abuse and trauma

Health-conditions

Work-related issues

Faith, spirituality and religious experiences

Culture, identity, belonging, and oppression

I approach my practice from an anti-oppressive position, recognising structural and systemic inequalities, while considering socio-political factors that affect mental health, both inside and outside of the therapy room.

I work within diversity across age, race, background, faith, gender, sexuality, and relationship styles.

I am fully insured, ICO registered, and supervised. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (ÌÇÐĹÙÍø).

About me and my therapy practice

You may be coming to counselling with clear goals, or with a quieter sense that something no longer feels sustainable or aligned. I offer a calm and confidential space where there is room to slow down and explore what is really going on.

I believe that when we experience an environment that feels held and safe, then we can begin to explore what might emerge. Therapy can provide us with a space to be with what is going on in our minds, in our bodies, and in how we relate to ourselves and to others.
